2014 E 63 Have Performance Exhaust?
Hi Everyone,
I'm in the market for a new sedan and am considering a used W213 E63 (2014-2015). A large part of the draw for me is the noise of the V8. I know that the newer generation includes a performance exhaust option. But did the 2014's have a performance exhaust as an option? I haven't seen a single used car with that option. Nor can I find it on any of the options list. I will regret it if I get a car that doesn't have it if it exists.

I've driven one but it did not have the PE. They did sound great, but I image PE would make it sound even better. But I don't see it on any option list for 2014 or 2015, so I'm not sure if it exists or not for those years.

best thing to do is remove the resonator/secondary cats and an X-pipe or H-pipe
I have the x-pipe and resonator/secondary cats removed and cruising its fine with no drone, but WOT it sounds like a beast!!!!!!

Did you have to cut the resonators off or are they clamped on?

Straight pipes are the loudest (I don't like the sound IMO). H pipe is middle (factory resonator is H pipe but very restrictive compared to performance resonator). X pipe is the mildest since it evens out the flow of the exhaust.
Straight pipe is 25% louder than stock. H pipe is 18-20% louder than stock. X pipe is 15% louder than stock.
