Buzzing Harman Kardon center dash speaker, W212 E63
I found these helpful PDFs posted in another forum, removed the display unit (fingernails to removed the plastic trim piece, a small torx bit to remove the display screen), then I was able to reach under the dash and push the pins from below to remove the speaker cover. The speaker itself is not screwed in, you can just grab the anchor points and pull up. There are two wires connected to the speaker. I just disconnected it and put the speaker cover back. I could not tell a very big difference without that 2 inch center channel speaker, so now I'm just motoring with no dash speaker. Still sounds good to me, and no buzzing.
An OEM replacement is $140 from MB direct, part number 212-820-20-02. Maybe I'll order it if I really start to miss that center channel.

So here's a question, should my speaker indicate in any way that it is from Harman Kardon? It just has the MB and Logic 7 logos.
ETA: I went back to the CarFax I got when I bought the car. Sure enough the first and only warranty repair on this car was a radio speaker. So, again, should this speaker have been labeled as a Harman/Kardon ? And that dealer just replaced it with MB generic?

ETA: The space behind the display panel seems like a good place to hide something...
