P026A Code...help! Related to AUX pump?
Hi guys
I am not tuned but running catless downpipes which is the only mod along with no mufflers.
I’ve gotten this P026A twice in the last 1500 miles. I never noticed any issues and temps stay around 199 for coolant and 199 for oil.
I did notice that engine runs airplane loud sometimes after heavy stop and go traffic. Usually this airplane noise would occur when driving very aggressively and pounding the beans out of it. Recently it’ll come on during heavy stop and go traffic or city traffic. Not always but sometimes. Long highway drives or drives in suburbia no problems. However the coolant temp remains steady around 199 when this occurs.
Today I learned we have a AUX pump I never knew we did and haven’t checked it’s coolant level. My ac work fine haven’t turned heat on in a year or so will try soon
Service advisor said code was meant to indicate that the charge air cooler was too hot, thereby effecting the efficiency of the engine, since the engine prefers to be fed cool air. No mention of aux pump.
The loud airplane noise just started happening over the summer never had this noise during the last couple of years. Also it doesn’t happen often.
any suggestions or tips

Turned the heat on after foreber within seconds it was blowing out toasty warm air.
guess that’s not the issue
this code has come twice so I’m a bit baffled 🤷🏽♂️
other than these two codes I get the two codes for not having the cats and that’s it

So I was told this code is actually extremely concerning and has to do with IAT running extremely hot.
I am going to data log and see what’s up but just in case I have ordered a new pump.
keep y’all posted would love to hear from anyone that also had this code and what their result was

Someting didn’t sit right with me so I found out the actual location and checked its Dry.
These morons had my engine out to replace a engine harness and my ECU and couldn’t bother to fill it. Unbelievable
Gooong to get coolant and add it in.
I drove my car for the last month like this. I don’t beat on it often but I’m guessing the two times I did is when this code was triggered.
Seriously unbelievable service from Mercedes Benz of New Rochelle in new Rochelle NY. I was forced to go here as my vehicle was towed in and they had started the work. These clowns had even told me they have their senior AMG tech with 20 years experience working on my car.
The service director was the one assigned to me because the original SA was fired. This guy played me like a fool. I even gave him a good tip and helped him out with a corporate discount for airline tickets while my car was being worked on by the “best”
Bunch of jack asses. Played me like a real fool.
So pissed off
