DEALERSHIP SOLD ME A MONEYPIT 2014 E63 S
Hey guys I am at my wits end here there was another recent thread here about a e63 being bought from auto mall of Springfield. So I decided to make a thread aswell. All the same issues car came tuned with bad wheels black series replicas with bald tires aswell as car was straight piped and tuned. I have sunk so much money into to this car that me and my fiance are currently almost financially ruined cause of it both our credit has gone to **** because of our high utilization rate due to the repair bills. The car is a 2014 e63 Amg s vin is WDDHF7GB2EA984857. Here is the first inspection i got done at fluid motor union back when I bought it in April this year 2un.me/1qripwdc. After this I had a full service done which cost me 5.5k. Since then I have paid in total about 23k in car repairs. This is the most recent inspection I have had with fluid motorunion 2un.me/bfalu0pi. Its not like I can't afford the car it's just stuff keeps breaking. All the things listed in the most recent inspection have been fixed which cost me 2.6k. But after having it for 1 day the car is leaking coolant again due to plastic heater actuator breaking on the back of the engine now. I wanted my dream car and I tried everything to keep it with me but everything I do just seems meaningless when I can barely drive the car for a month then its back at fluid motorunion again. Any help would be appreciated please and thank you.

UPDATE -
Whelp I ended up keeping the car and after three years of saving and finding one of the best shops in Chicago that not only educated me on my car but also helped me build it better along the way. The car currently has all the parts and more to be able to withstand anything and everything. I would especially like to shout out @PeterUbers for the insane amount of knowledge he provides which alone helped me overcome a lot of hurdles cough cough full rotor and pads replacement peters eBay links came in clutch.
The car currently has had a lot done to it I have spent another 10k basically but not all bad the photos will do it justice.
List of parts replace and or changed.
-Mevotech lower control arms added
-sway bar links all around added
-Brembo 2 piece rotors added
-Hawk Performance pads added
-all injectors replaced
-water pump replaced
-water pump pully replaced
-all front grilles replaced including fins
-night package added
-brabus kit added
-new continental extreme contact sport 02 tires
-new radiator csf #8197 added due to current radiator being cracked cause of plastic endtanks the csf one has metal endtanks
-exhaust redone to fix exhaust leaks
-Car wrapped in flexishield seafoam by ghost industries
Now the best part the pictures I hope you read thru the post and I am looking forward to the future. I have already decided this will be future forever car.

I have been actually thinking of doing that problem is I financed the car thru baxter credit union. I still owe 38,689 on it. I would prolly have to sell it at 30k to 34k and idk what to do since I would be liable to pay the remaining. Could you advise on a route for this issue please and thank you

I bought a Tesla Model Y for daily driving and sold it for more than what I paid to a local dealership near me. Worst car I've drove/bought.
I got quotes from Carmax, Carvana, Vroom, etc etc. and the local dealership beat all of their offers.
Every dealership is looking for cars, especially AMG's since AMG said no more V8's.

Fortunate for you - right now no dealership has cars, especially AMG's. You can sell it for what you owe, or trade it in for a Toyota/Honda/Etc whatever you like, and they'll pay off your current loan.

Gad damn man, sorry to read about your troubles. That is so lame you've had to pay so much. I agree with others to get rid of it and revisit the idea of MB ownership in the future. GL to ya!

No offense but this just seems like a bad purchase with no sort of financial or common sense.
Then on top of that your getting the car repaired at some random shop and trusting what they’re telling you. I think the shop realized how guliable you are and took you to the cleaners.
I see this happen so often with people that don’t know anything about cars.
once again no offense but I highly doubt those repairs and costs were all needed more like they fear mongered you and realized that you’re guliable af

I was the other guy who created the bad e63 thread. Sorry to read the issues with your e63. Hopefully it gets resolved ASAP.
I’m sure you did you due Diligence on the car whereas I took the dealers word for it instead my own PPI. Don’t let these other guys get you down about spending all that money to get the car running right and debt. Next time I’ll purchase from a non-private dealership where they actually sell good cars.

I suspect he's learned a great lesson and he has two choices - fix this car and enjoy it or dump it and find something else nice in a few years

This place is a joke.
Please get some advice from a financial advisor or look for some free local resources. I'm not trying to be rude, but helpful to your future. Get rid of the E63 and buy Japanese...Lexus, Honda, Toyota.

I understand that. It was my first car purchase and with a household income of 110k a year and only 850 rent per mo. I thought i would be fine. Its that thing when you realize you can get your dream car and the rainbow glasses get put on. The shop is fluid motorunion its actually pretty well respected on not alone this forum but as well as the chicago car community. The shop work with iron gate motor condos aswells has done a bunch for legitstreetcars. So I made sure the shop was trustworthy atleast. I am sorry tho first car purchase basically realizing a car I thought I could never afford was attainable I got rosey eyed and went with it.
you'll do well in life I have no doubt

P.S this car was also the reason that I could finally start driving again after I had my first accident when I was 16. I got my license at 27 after I bought this car.. After that accident I was unable to drive a car the fear was just too intense. This car helped helped me get past that. I was able to enjoy driving again.

Thank you, as much as its a bad car and that i should dump it immediately. It still has a lot of personal connection to me. So I can't deny that I am not going to feel sad as hell when I sell her. I have alot of attachments to the objects I own which is also why I was ok with spending that much money. That car I had my first cruise in, my first car show, my first smile when I pressed the gas and felt my whole body sink into the seat. The car before this was a 2007 suzuki grand vitara I had so I am hoping you can understand where I came from. It was a lot of firsts for me. First time using all the gadgets. First time a car had me reach my limits unlike the car reaching its limit and me feeling like I could do so much more. I am sorry that she turned out to be a money pit. But the memories were equally worth the cost. I just had to get a reality check and thank you all for providing that.

i knew it - you are a good dude. Glad to have you in this forum.
so since a major car accident at 16 you haven't driven a car until this e63?
so you've driven cars period for 2 years in your life? What car did you drive at 16 that you had in the accident?

It was a suzuki fx. I learned to drive cars in Pakistan initially. I basically pit a rickshaw when merging causing it to flip 3 times. The people were ok but it was pretty traumatizing for a kid learning to drive. When I moved to Chicago when I was 17. I lived downtown so there wasn't a need for a car and owning one cost alot due to parking and everything else. I recently moved to a home in the Southside which made me realize I needed to get one. For us since rent was soo cheap we had a decent amount of leftover income so we decided to initially buy a 2008 e63 amg but when we got approved for a lot higher 40k and I saw that I could buy the dream car e63 w212 facelift imo the best looking e63 ever. I jumped on it and you know what happened after that.

TWENTY THREE THOUSAND $ in repairs? Jesus! Sorry to hear that a fellow enthusiast is in this predicament, but, out of curiosity, what was the mileage on the clock when you bought the car and what's it now? What exactly did they do to your car during said "Full service" that cost you FIFTY FIVE THOUSAND $? Are you break boosting this thing frequently? Was all the work done at Fluid Motor Union?
