Hungry Canial Water Pump?
Seems my water pump ate itself...and, there is a leaking plug in the front of the engine....will this be it???? (photos to come in an hour or so). I am over this car....

is the leaking plug the solenoid? Mine has a leak there…:/. Need to get it in for warranty, which fortunately I still have.

WATER PUMP FAILURE
I recall Master Tasos mentioning something about pump pulley walking off the shaft.... and now you're saying it's your pump impeller that walked on the shaft.
How did Mercedes supplier make this possible ?
Do have other nearby pulley wobbling to stress pmp plastics ??

Everything looks great. The mechanic (MB Master Mechanic from Jax FL) said he had never, ever seen anything like with WITH OUT a leak at the shaft. This spins nice, seems good and does not leak.

It's rare as usually something else would pop, but you might be experiencing and overpressurized cooling system and your pump happened to be be weak(est) point at that area of buildup.
Wouldn't be a bad idea to check for cross contamination, air leaks, thermostat health, etc.....

@WANTED!! This was the last piece. Every other hose was replaced a few months ago....it sat on a shelf as I have been slammed adulting.

If I'm Inferring the story behind your response, sounds like this was found during a long duration repair you've been doing and are now asking about the possible causality not seeing obvious signs of leaking?
If you're looking for potential "how's " then yes my answer is possible but with the greater context that what I described really is that rare. Other potential, as described above, is it was an issue with the pump itself that while not common, has been observed to have occurred.
Sucks none the less. I am now curious though, how old is this pump? What's the mileage?
