My 2012 E63 Stalls going into gear. Starts and runs fine in park and neutral but as soon as I go into drive or reverse it shuts off. Let it run for about 10 minutes and get up to temp and it still happens.

Ordering a scan tool now to see if it says anything, just asking around here to see if anyone knows anything.

These are all the codes. Feels like P085011 is the most likely culprit of these, but everything else about that code online says that it's usually just the park button going out (Which has been the case for me). Seeing as the car starts and runs fine, and does attempt to go into gear (the camera comes up when going into reverse and the dash shows second all before shutting off), then this is probably not the issue. Going to have to take it to one of the shops and see if they can find anything.

 

I'm not sure what's causing your issues but the first thing to check is whether there is oil in your main engine harness and is there any oil around the pins of the ECU.

Additionally, did anything happen before this will happen, it was the car just driving and shifting fine and all of a sudden one day you wake up and the car won't shift to drive?

when's the last time you replaced the main battery?

 

Does it clunk and physically stall mechanically or does it just 'turn off'?
