I am in Canada, and it seems unclear if the orders from the dealers have been placed and accepted/confirmed with the factory.
Also no pricing yet foo base car or options, and as far as I can tell, no configurator.
Any other experiences in North America?
Any indications of factory production start dates?

I am in Canada too. As far as I know (myself included) is that we have a $ down payment on a allotment for a build (granted mine is for a E63S Wagon).

My SA said they are waiting for the what's new bulletin for the E63S, thereafter we will be contacted and will be able to configure and put down a proper deposit on a build.

I'm in the same boat as you OP. Waiting for firm order. #2 on the list at my dealer. Told to expect June delivery & 10k more than my '14 was which is basically the same spec. Expecting ~145 out the door.

+1 in Canada. For the wagon, just allocation given. Prelimin info given is order guide with prices should be out sometimes in late April (projecting), buyer will have about 1 month or so to put in final spec. order and locked in by late May and production should begin in late June and delivery should be around early Sep. (for the 1st batch of allocation)

My dealer showed me something in his system that shows estimated deliveries for the sedan for June and July based on the allocations they received. He told me today my order is about to freeze.

that's exactly correct as per my SA said as well for sedan. But for wagon, there is a slight time difference.

Does your SA have pricing out for the sedan ? If yes, then we will know what kind of pricing to expect for the wagon as it would typically be about $<$5,000 more.

We received a confirmation yesterday from the dealer that our order was just assigned a confirmed build date in late June.

I received confirmation today from my dealer that my order was assigned a confirmed build date in the first 10 days of May. It went from not confirmed to yellow status. It will Designo Cardinal Red, Black interior, Magnolia flowing lines trim, night package and RTP twin five spoke wheels with black accents, Q03 premium package.

My dealer said eight E63S have started production now (March) and will arrive Hong Kong in late April or early May. My order is among this batch with AMG driver package (limiter removed) and carbon fiber interior. No forged wheels can be ordered at this stage.

Have a Magno Black Edition 1 coming to my local dealership for me, build has started and should receive it Late April early May! Very excited for the new toy

I thought Edition 1 will not be available to order until MY2019. It seems like MB cannot make up their minds.

Edition 1 are launch cars. They are usually the first to the dealerships. At least that was the case with the C63S and AMG-GTS

My dealership said my E63 amg s will receive a confirm build some time next month but they said it will be most likely be sometime around end of July. I already picked my spec and placed by down payment last week. I chose Obsidian Black Metallic with 20inch black forged wheels, with saddle brown interior and night package and a few other options. I still have time to change exterior color I am still deicing if i wanna go with cavansite blue metallic.

How did you get Saddle Brown? The ordering guide only has nut brown.

They said saddle brown was an option and that I would have to wait a bit longer.

Thanks. I am wondering if they are confused between saddle brown (designo) and nut brown (standard). Also if Saddle Brown is available, I wonder if it is available with Designo Diamond Stitching, or just regular AMG style seats.

No still no pricing. When I considered the E43 early last fall, they had option prices, but no base MSRP for the car. Now they have neither.

We ordered with no pricing. Why not, there is no obligation. The $1k is refundable. I am not aware anyone has pricing yet.

I traded in my 2013 Porsche 911 C4S for the E63S. Wanted the Carbon Fiber trim as an option but was told it was not available at the moment. Oh well..... patiently waiting for my 63 to be built.
