2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
I'm just thinking with my car being a wagon the Red will look more innocent and I'll cruise right by the State Troopers I was at the mb dealer today, I really like those new grills on the C and S series that have those little chrome discs, looks pretty cool. When I get my 2018 I may see if those grills are interchangeable with my car, not sure if any of the E's have them. Here's a afermarket of what I was thinking https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/Diamo...6-c57c92d8eeb3

Finally settled on the lunar blue with the matte forged black wheels. Order is finally in after the system able to accept carbon fiber interior trim on a sedan! but apparently MB once again did not anticipate the demand for panorama roof... the prod is pending supply to catch up. 2nd in line for the dealership. Aiyayayayaya!!!

I'm actually thinking about pulling the plug on my order rather than pulling the trigger. There are just way too many unknowns at this point and I don't have the stomach for the car to come into port after waiting many months and then have the car sit there long term after that. I've heard just the base price alone could be around 120K which would make this car substantially more than the 2016 model. I only have a thousand down on the car at this point, I'm really up in the air about the whole thing. I question a first year model too especially with air bags on all four corners as far as it's reliability goes. I don't want a car that's going to be in the shop all the time. My 2012 has been so reliable and continues to be that way at 50 thousand miles.

Where did ya hear this news? My SA and manager told me based on the info they hv they don't expect too much of an increase from prior. 120k to start would definitely be a non starter haha

That's a hefty base increase, if true.

i am in Canada, my SA took a wild guess of about $3000 in price bump in base. That would be around 2.5% jump over MY16

You're probably right, that was a European conversion but it gets confusing with the VAT and different option packages. I guess I worry too much, but it was bad news what they want to give me for my 2012 and they would not even stick firm on the 37.5K because they say it's gonna be worth less by the time the 2018 Wagon comes in, which I guess is true. I know for sure I could sell my 2012 for much more than the dealer want's to give me, it's just the ease of the trade that is enticing, just hate to take a blood bath though. I guess I should just go for it though, one life to live and I'm not getting any younger. I'll get 6 percent off sticker and then sell my 2012 when I get closer to getting the new one.

I would wait to take action until official U.S. pricing is released. At that point, you'll have firm numbers to base your decision on.

Congrats and good luck!

Yep, your right, I do want the car, just panicking lately I guess. I had a 2015 with 10K miles practically wrapped up but the dealer was playing games so I walked away from that deal, I woulda saved about 30 grand, not worth the aggravation factor though, it was a benz dealer too, I was surprised. The finance manager was a first class ********.

Take one step at a time. I want the wagon too but not to the point I am willing to pay some crazy jacked up prices.

I think I'm worrying way to much, they are not gonna go too crazy with the price as they would loose too many customers, maybe a 2 percent increase or something like that over the 2016's. The thing I do worry about though after my experience in trying to deal with a Benz dealer down south is the crazy up charges dealers are starting to do these days. The dealer I was trying to buy the 2015 through had a $4690 up charge that was listed as service charge. Made no sense, they corrected it when I *****ed about it, but I did not end up buying that car because I figured if i did a 1000 mile drive to trade mine and get that car there would be other up charges when I got there for sure, I think it was a good move walking from that deal as it gave me a bad feeling about the integrity of the dealer. Not only that the car was noted as being Red on the car fax every time it was serviced over it's 10000 mile life and in reality the car was Pallidium gray, I dunno maybe the previous owner had it wrapped in red wrap and the wrap was removed, either that or the whole car was repainted, lol. I did not even want to know, haha.

My order was accepted and the car is going to be Mfg'd early September. Looking forward to getting the car. Hopefully I'll have the car by mid October as I leave for Florida then.

Well, changed my Color back to the Designo Cardinal Red on my order. I'm a getting a 2015 S550 this week as my regular road car and want the AMG to be something different and not have two cars of roughly the same color, the S550 is Pallidium Silver which is fairly simiar to the the Selanite Grey, so going with the Red on the AMG wagon, I want this to be me my sports car, well, because it is a sports car. The 550 will be my ultimate road driver. Got a deal I could not pass up, now no need to sell my 2012 privately.

Nice!!! Now you dont have to be in a hurry for delivery of the wagon or have to figure the timing of selling or trading your 2012.

Exactly it takes the stress off, I was driving a 2014 Honda Crosstour as my daily driver, I'll sell that car, that car and drive the S, I figure what the heck, life is too short not to be driving a nice luxury car. My plan with the 2018 AMG will be to keep it pristine and the mileage low and keep it a long time. No telling how much longer the AMG's will have 8 cylinder motors, they could change over to V6's at some point like everyone else is doing.
