Sport and Comfort Mode
Hi, I'm new here and just got my car last month and I love it. Just to find out from your, yesterday I try using the soprt mode and I feel the different compare to the comfort mode is not much, maybe somewhere 10-20% more power. Is your feel the same, thanks.

Definetely, I also feel there is almost no difference in the suspension setting.

Can't tell any difference. It's kind of a stupid mode.

Hello,
The difference from the modes are actually quite a bit of things as outlined in the AMG supplemental manual page 25. There is lowering of the vehicle at different speeds and such. Comfort to sport stiffens the suspension to midpoint (one lighted shock), changes the stability control to sport, Exhaust flaps open, and does change the trans shift and more importantly the hold cruising gears. Just try and go like 50 MPH in comfort mode, and you'll be in 8th or 9th gear, and the car will try and average about 1300 RPM while cruising with a soft gas pedal position. Select Sport, and you will go to one gear lower, and be averaging ~1800 RPM, Sport+ you will be ~ 2400 RPM, Race mode, and it will hold the gear almost until redline. Then the suspension stiffens and lowers in the different modes. My preferred Independent is Sport for the trans shift points, suspension in comfort, exhaust flaps open, and the ESP traction control off. Just make sure you can handle the car with the ESP off. It isn't totally off, but you can get the car going sideways much easier
Cheers,

So if you get the car totally out of shape, a tap of the brake may help in recovery.
