Panoramic Sunroof option?
Are most of you considering the Panoramic Sunroof option? If not ordered you get a small slider sunroof, as far as I know there is not the option of not getting any sunroof? I guess one advantage in not getting the Panoramic Sunroof is I know on the 212's the Panoramic Sunroof was known for creaking and sometimes required major repairs at the dealer for this issue. At least with the standard sunroof this would not be a issue. Probably less likely to ever have any leaks either because of the reduced area, perhaps less wind noise with the standard smaller sunroof. The advantage to having the Panoramic Sunroof is the car is a lot more open air when it is open, you get more light in the car even when it's closed and it's only a $1000.00 option. What does everyone think?

Ordered the Pano roof. Got it as part of my Premium Pack.
I drove a dealer car with a black interior, with the pano roof. It was lovely because it allowed PLENTY of light into the cabin. One thing I was concerned about with the black interior was it feeling too "cooped up", but with the cabin feels extremely airy with the pano. Had to have it.
That being said, I am worried about creaks and the such. Not a brilliant situation, but hoping for the best, and that MB has QC'd these properly after the issues on the 212 (disclaimer: never owned a 212, just going off what everyone else reported!).

I've been fortunate on my 212 Wagon that has a shade over 50K miles on it now that I've had no creeks or noises coming from the sunroof, so not everyone had this issue with the 212's, just some people. But yes it is a concern. I may not be able to add this option to my current order as I want to and it could be a good thing or bad thing, I dunno. I'm nervous if I go and add this option I may have my build date pushed back and I'm trying to avoid that. Then on the other hand as you said, it is a nice option to have with open airy feeling inside the car.

My delivery date was pushed back a couple of weeks because of the Pano roof. 2 weeks is peanuts compared to the few years of ownership I'll get out of this thing!

Great, well my decision is definite, I'm going to try to change my order to include this pano sunroof, for the extra $1000.00 US dollars it's worth it. I just hope I can change the order, I already changed my mind of the color of the car from the Red to the Gray and was able to do that a couple weeks ago.

Definitely get the pano on your wagon order! My young kids love being able to count the water droplets on the glass roof as we're sitting in traffic heading to the movies or a Cub Scout event. Even better is the rear entertainment package - nicely integrated and they can watch two different movies at the same time. When the boys are using the Bluetooth headphones in back, my wife and I can listen to music or catch up on news with the Sat radio off the main unit "up front" at the same time.

Just found out this morning from the salesman at the MB dealer that the Pano roof is indeed standard with the wagon. Here I am shooting the messenger, lol. Maybe thats one reason the wagon has always been a little more $$$

Have you seen the DOG? If so, it lists the standard equipment for the E63 wagon v. E400 wagon. I looked over it carefully before placing order for my wagon, along with all the options. I may email my SA to see if he has an updated DOG since the one I have is from mid-April. Good to see if anything changed on it, so order can be amended if need be.
