Discount on E63s Wagon?
One of the dealers in Miami is telling me NO discounts on any E63s Wagons at all due to the fact it's limited production vehicle per year.
I'm going to reach out to different dealers see if they can offer any discounts.

Not likely, and certainly not on an order. The resale on AMG wagons is also considerably higher than sedans too. That said, if you find a really ugly color combo on a poorly optioned floor model, that perhaps was the dealer's demo car and has >500mi on it, then perhaps you can get a bit off of MSRP. Other than that, not very likely.

Just kidding. Hey, like they say: don't ask, don't get. I'm doing factory delivery to avoid begging and to get in a sweet vacation.

I see myself as a decent negotiator, and I had to pay MSRP for the E63 wagon I ordered. The dealer is going to throw in a paint/leather treatment they do (costs like $900), floor mats, rear seat iPad holders and a few other minor things, but that was all I was able to get. They told me that if I took a 2018 build slot there might be a little more flexibility (no confirmation on what that meant though), but I wanted an Oct build.

Maybe too late for this, but there's a fleet discount available to United mileage members. It's not clear to me if it applies to AMG models. For 2018 E class wagon, the incentive is $500.
But then for Premier members it says: The exclusive Control Number grants you a $2,500 Additional Incentive Offer valid on Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
So maybe $3,000 if it all applies.
I'm looking for ED and that is excluded in the fine print of the incentive form.

The dealer really tries to push you to lease. Is that normal?

I’ve always understood
That wagons are a build to order item and as such I’ve never seen one on the floor and they are pretty scarce around here. Most people were able to get a few points off msrp on the sedan. I suspect if you are a repeat client that would hold for the wagon too. If however your new or a walk in I doubt if anyone would give a significant or even a discount at all on a custom order wagon. However my personal philosophy is you never know until you try... that being said I can refer you to my SA here in Toronto and see if he can do you anything. PM me.

I sent a build for E63 S Wagon to 4 local-ish dealers. One came back MSRP, another $3k under, another one $4k under, and the fourth didn't respond (!) Told them politely that I didn't want a conversation, test drive, or anything else. Just the numbers. And that's what I got. NY area.

order process sucks
I'm new to Mercedes. Ordered a wagon in July before pricing was published so dealer offer 2% discount to help keep me under the estimated 120K. Pricing finally confirmed end of August and it was better than I thought but when I tried to change the build order the following day I was told it was too late. They told me the important thing was to get the order in ASAP to lock the production slot and that I had plenty of time to make changes. Not happy and I may pull out of the deal as I believe a custom order should mean you get the car you want. I did my part and Mercedes should have done theirs.

is vastly different than the Canadian one. If you jump on a Canadian Benz site even the builds are vastly different. Up here most of the options are bundled into a few larger option packages as opposed to the States where you can actually pick and choose from individual options. For instance the performance exhaust is part of a package up here that comes with different wheels...

I was able to get $3000 off MSRP. What's your monthly payment coming out to?
#18
Total drive off is about $8500 prior to MSDs, $4900+ of which is tax and $1800 is 1st month payment. So, about $1800 in other fees. I didn't try to lower that but suppose I may be able to.

My build is about $123.5 k and includes 3 year maintenance package among a couple other dealer items. Payment is a penny under $1800, so 10 MSDs would be $18k and bring the payment down to $1666.xx.

My dealer is saying he doesn't have the programs yet from mbusa.
Thanks!

Residual is shown on the worksheet at 59%. He didn't give me the MF but maybe you can now back into it? I didn't ask (I know, I know) because I was happy enough with the end result, figuring that "I want the car and this is the best deal I can get" even if it's not an especially good deal by overall lease standards, and falls way short of the leasehackr threshold of 1% of MSRP as a monthly payment. And yes 36 months, 10k miles/year.

Thank you! 59% is a bit higher than the 54% I had in mind. The MF seems to be close to 0.0225 from what I can calculate.

Not sure how my dealer arrived at 59%, but it's in writing on the quote on which I put the down payment. He also mentioned that he hoped he could do better when the time comes depending on whether MB was offering any conquest cash when the time came.

BTW, for anyone looking for a European Delivery, my dealer is Herbert Haemmer. I have the good fortune to be located not far from the Escondido, CA dealership he works out of. He does ED for people all over the country and many dealers who aren't familiar with the EDP just send those folks interested to him.
He's German-American and grew up in Germany and worked in the travel industry for years before working for Mercedes. The European Delivery is about more than just getting a car ordered for delivery in Germany, it's about the vacation experience as well. Herbert is well traveled, and as someone who spent years in the travel industry, he has great advice about planning the trip and what places to visit that are best tailored to my family.
Our order was placed a couple months ago and we are now one month away from delivery. Stopped in to see Herbert and he spent a couple hours with us last night on trip planning, which was going way beyond the basic support you expect from a dealer. He's also quite interesting to talk to about all this.
I highly recommend that anyone considering a European Delivery contact him. His web site will pop up first thing when you google his name.

I ordered my wagon in July and not hear nothing more than production build was 9/20. I was promised a late October delivery so asking if there anyone in a similar situation that have better information.

go fast grocery getter wagon
As of last week, my SA does not have a shipping record of when the car will be in transit. I would think it will be on the ship by mid October? .... delivery by late November? That's my best optimistic guess right now . My SA is too lazy to find out where my car is at this point.
