Having to stand there and press the memory button isn't that big of a deal, but hey if a $50 k mini van can do it, you'd think that they could find a way to make it happen in a $140 k luxury sedan. They could even have made it another $150 option and made some money doing it . . .
You're absolutly right.

And for the memory button, to take place it's not ideal before take place to the car because the steering wheel goes down and it's a pain in the *** to sit for me because Because I have fighter's thighs :-)

Like you said, not a deal breaker but disappointing on a car of this price.

No heated wheel on the E43 either. Simply not available once you add the sport wheel.

I will join the chorus of cursing the engineers every time I’m driving for those four months of the year. Then I will be celebrating the engineers for all the other stuff.

Once you have experienced a heated steering wheel, there's no going back. Wife's previous 530i had it and she will not buy another car without one. Mercedes doesn't offer this option and though Lexus offers it but only on the top and the bottom as the sides are wood DAH...

No going back? Really? This is the first car in a very long time we have without a heated steering wheel; would have liked one to be sure but couldn't care less in the scheme of things. Awesome car and the Dynamica steering wheel feels still good to me even in sub-zero weather.

i don’t understand how engineers think some time.
I guess they think people that drive fast cars have hot hands

Every MB vehicle (not only the E's), which has an AMG steering wheel, cannot have it heated.....
Only non AMG steering wheels are heated...
I think MB had an over supply of non heated AMG steering wheels and are trying to use them up.
Obviously, there is not a technical reason why it cannot be heated.

"and driving off with square tires after a cold night."

Someone told me about that a long time ago. He to lives in warmer climates. I can only imagine how cold some places are in this country. I am up near Boston but if you go up to Maine, it is even colder.

Let me sum this up in one word. Ugh.

I will miss the summer.

This is 100% false.

My 2019 E63s has the AMG steering wheel and has the heated steering wheel option.

Early E63s like Model Year 2018 didn't have the option for heated steering wheel. The option was added for MY2019 onward.

It was 100% true in 2017.
There has been a lot of updates on these cars, one of them was to have heated steering wheel as an option.
