Heated steering wheel ??
Where is the on/off?
I checked the manual and it says it is on the steering wheel adjustment stick. My stick doesn’t turn like it says it should.
Is it because I have an Edition 1?

You sure you have that option? Not sure if my car does or not, I don't think mine does, I'll check that short stick tomorrow to see if it turns, I don't think mine does.

I totally agree, I really would like the heated steerring wheel myself with temperatures around -25 C during most of the winter. (This equals -13 F)
Also, indoor parking is not an option here.. Guess my petrol driven parking heater will be used a lot.

On the good side of things I will tell you this car starts blowing out heat real quick after it’s started. It was 45 out this morning and within a minute it was blowing out some pretty good heat through the vents.

Grew up in Nebraska. I remember the days of block heaters and driving off with square tires after a cold night.
A big big reason I live in So Cal now.
i can see why the option would be nice for those in the colder climates.

I notice Audi deletes the heated steering option with its flat bottom wheels also. What's so hard to make a heating element go in a shape other than a circle???

I know some motorcycles have heated grips, but for those that don't, some riders resort to heated gloves.
That might be an option for those who have to face those frigid northern climates

I've ordered the option with heated arm-rests, but this can never replace the heated steering wheel..
Heated gloves will also be a bad replacement.
I believe the petrol driven parking heater will be used a lot.. I will also try to find a way mounting an electric engine heater..

There is an option in Star so I would assume That it’s a possibility. That said. It has a resistance value so you could potentially channel out and swap out guts to from the e400 to a flat bottom seeing as it does not run the full circomverence and get it re wrapped. Quick check shows about 2k including parts and programming if it’s even possible. I will guinea pig this and look for a cheap heated wheel and see if I can or even need to activate it on my Star.
