Will order these as soon as they are available for purchase and report back on the install. Zunnsport just tweeted that they will have them available next week

The Zunnsport offering is very similar to the stock lower grilles I have for my C63 BS. I like how it’s applied as the very first/sacrificial layer, but it changes the overall styling of the bumper. It looks like the AMG original part may need partial bumper disassembly to install.

Nope, no disassembly required. It clips on top of the vanes in the bumper. Theres a video on the site that demonstrates this. The large center piece needs to be screwed in to the inner plastic lining of the bumper which is exactly what it was on the 991.1 Porsche grille I installed last year. It took me ~30 mins to do on that car and this one looks even simpler because it goes on top of the vanes. I'm taking the under on 15 for me.

The Zunnsport front grill kits are now available . Just placed the order, the cost was $322 shipping from the UK to the US included in the price. Will let you know what my impressions are.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
I'll be ordering a pair of the mercedes ones they are now putting on the new AMG's, the part number is A0995030400 and should be out around the end of June. A friend of mine just got his new E63 AMG Wagon Delivered yesterday and it has the new screens in front of the intercoolers. The price on these is gonna only 20 or 30 dollars. I wish mercedes would send out letters or emails stating that these are becoming available. IMO they should be given free and installed for free to customers who had already bought the 213 Amg's.

I made my own custom mesh and had problems with cooling. The air flow was not restricted when driving but when stopped, the air circulation around coolers wasn't enough and the auxiliary cooling fan was running at its highest settings for about 5 minutes after the car was shut down. Normally, even after brutal driving it goes of after seconds so that means AMG know why they are so hesitant to put anything in front of the coolers.
I will write a more detailed post later..

My car was built on January 2018 and this thread prompted me to look to see if I indeed had the MB installed protection; it does. Upon closer look I also noticed that the protection did not stop from having some fins damaged from small road debris (with less than 1200 miles at the time) . I hope the additional Zunnsport protection will help stop any further damage and add piece of mind.

I ordered my zunsports set and it should be here Monday. I'll post pictures post install. I haven't had any cooling issues on my 911 even here in Houston post install so I'm hopeful its fine on my E63 too. I wouldn't anticipate anything major on the street for sure. The good thing is they're so easy to clip on and off that I can remove them for any track/drag work where the cooling needs are higher.

I blew up the picture my friend sent me a little to zoom in on the mesh. I agree it is not the ideal setup, the Zunsport ones would probably be better. It looks like with the ones by Benz that the the bumper cover would have to be removed and it would be more work, not 100 percent sure on that though. They are behind the vertical fins though. Benz should really be covering this for existing orders, it was their screw up, not just our cars but the AMG GTs too.

the product just came out last week and it will take some time for owners who bought to give their feedback. Just based on the look of those openings, I would say they are about 75% opening and it probably should not affect the ability to cool.
