Took delivery Friday
And I’m still in a state of shock... can’t believe it’s here. Question for y’all... has anyone found the track pace app yet? It’s supposed to be here. Anything? Anyone?
thanks in advance

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
I’m sitting in my car now. It says start track pace in command. It’s the fourth click down with your left steering wheel mouse on the right side of the drivers side screen.

I goofed I told you the right side mouse of the steering wheel, it's the left hand mouse, the left hand mouse controls the left screen and the right mouse the right screen. The App is four push clicks down on the mouse. It looks like a sunrise, you probably have it, your just not use to the controls since the car is so new to you. It takes a lot of time to get use to all the controls, they are much different than in the 212 model. Theres three different ways you can change things, the steering wheel mouses, the center pad mouse and of course the jog control, a lot of the functions are double or even triple redundant. Spend a little time just sitting there in the car playing around. Once you get use to things you'll find yourself doing things like second nature. The 3 day long drive I just took really helped me get use to the car, I'd suggest that for anyone in taking a long trip at first, not only does it make the break in go by faster, you get acclimated to the car sooner. I just did my final run in today of the rear axle and it was fun. a few race starts and a couple starts up to 120 not on the street of course, this car gets up to 120 real fast, it revs so much more freely than the 212 did, it makes that engine feel like a truck engine and this engine feel much more race car like. Really pops through the gears quickly, love the sound of the waste gates slamming shut, especially in sport plus mode, loud popping sounds through the exhaust too, but don't try that until you've got around 1600 miles or so on the car, thats how long I waited, before that I did not do over 1/2 throttle and easy starts and varied speed a lot babying the car.

Try clicking the home button on the left side steering wheel. Then select the AMG performance menu option. Once you select that you can go down 2 or 3 times on the left mouse pad again and it will say Start lap with a timer.
That should be it.

Thanks everyone but...
I don’t have it. It’s in the Comand menu of the main screen. I sat in a car that has it and mine clearly doesn’t. It’s been determined that it’s an update of some kind...

I really like my GLE63s...
but I couldn’t do any track days with it... up here almost every track has a no SUV policy. It really bummed me out. As a secondary note the rear tires went bald in under 5000 miles. No fancy driving just to work and back. I loved the car but it was complete overkill like bringing a gun to a knife fight. It was ridiculously quick, loud and handled well but utterly pointless. I would go wagon. It’s got better tech all around and gets the job done better...

Had the opportunity to track both the E63s and GLE63s hero cars at a Mercedes drive event, wasn't allowed to use mine, they weren't supposed to be used either.
The GLE63 is blistering fast and obnoxiously loud when hammering it around a track, near 0 body roll, no doubt quicker than some if not most supercars around a track.
By far one of the better sounding cars i've ever heard, maybe in line with or slightly better than the Mercedes GT(s,c,r) series
Definitely the biggest concern with it is the tires and brakes, they get shot so quickly, even turtling/normal driving daily, very costly replacements, especially in NZ.
The E63s on the other hand, totally brutal on the road and track, it may not be as loud as the GLE either, but WOT down a straight, it is a beautiful sound, i'm yet to see a video on youtube that depicts an accurate sound of how it is IRL.
Another few month wait for mine to arrive, unfortunately, hope you're enjoying yours.
