Now this is light braking on the uphill section, this is not beating the sucker and getting hard on the brakes. I try to be as smooth as possible and now I'm wondering if it is due to the traction control being aggressive with the ESP system.

That’s a good point. My jeep’s rear brakes had more wear than the front as a result traction control engagement in loose stuff.
I could see the Merc braking one wheel or another there as you’re picking up the throttle on corner exits.

I think you guys should not worry about the 60-0 distance but brake fade coming down a mountain pass.
Hell there is brake fade just from the ESP after climbing up the pass.
I've never needed to stop from 60-0 in a panic in over 47 yrs of driving but I have used brakes to slow down over and over again and have expected the peddle to feel the same after each application and the 2018 E63s AMG with CCBs does not instill confidence in my opinion..
A b****in car but s**te brakes is all I can say.

Don’t trust anything these car magazine shows say. They make a lot of errors and reuse old data because they are on tight schedules. They use press cars that may have been beaten on (and sometimes press cars are spiced up by manufacturers, too) and certain reviewers and magazines have their own agendas.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
The Mercedes E63 Amg wagon (2018) was 7:45 thats 6 seconds faster than the Stelvio Quad. http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars...rgring-record/ The last Gen E63 Amg (2013) went 7:55. 10 seconds slower and 4 seconds slower than the Alfa. That Alfa does look really fast though.

Impressive drive nonetheless.

Has Mercedes AMG ever booked out the Nurburgring to try and set records?
I thought all the AMG times were set by local Magazine Editors vs Factory teams with professional drivers?
why does the alfa have a roll cage in if its supposed to be stock?

Not sure why anyone bothers to show the Alfa here. No relevance. It's fast but slower than the AMG. I like Alfas but they have a terrible reputation for reliability anywhere and that's not just the old models.

Finally the video--- although biased, the reasons I have the E63S are also sections where it shined. I get why it didnt win (losing by 0.02 seconds) on BW but AWD, Launch, Skidpad, Exhaust Noise, Rolling speed, etc are reasons Im happy. With all that, the Caddy is a worthy competitor and its even more attractive when pricing is rolled in.
Edit, thanks BC-2 it was only .02 seconds LOL

I like the CTS V and wouldn't mind owning one. However, I didn't even bother considering one before buying my E63 S. It just doesn't have the refinement and amenities I was looking for that the E63 S has. At lease for me.
