US has world's wealthiest plaintiffs' lawyers and most consumer-friendly lemon laws
Thus, mfrs can practice far more incompetence in EU than in US w/far less risk of major legal/warranty/buyback costs even if caught
That said, well-known for past ~10yrs that MCT is a lemon-prone box, vs far less tq (arguably a key stressor) than that of latest 63: why would anyone believe that AMG's clearly inept gearbox engineers suddenly woke up after 10yrs of failing and figured out how to engineer a robust, smooth MCT vs 600+lb-ft?
Apparently, part of why P has limited GT2RS tq to that of 991TTS is they know PDK is only robust vs ~550lb-ft
Ultimately, any affluent US driver involved in major accident because of MCT failure at-speed/in-traffic is "self-insured" as no umbrella policy or eventual payoff from DAI will ever buy back one's lost health or life

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
the concerning thing is even beating on a new car before break in should not affect the trans. The rear end yes but not the trans. I’d like to get a hold of the durability testing documents on this trans. Not that it is likely to happen lol.

I mentioned this to @Vic55 a few days ago that my Edition 1's transmission does not feel right since day one,
It also clucks and abruptly changes up and down at times.
Mostly happens at slow speeds when you use the shifters in D or Manual mode.
Thinking I should take it into the dealer preemptively.
Problem is that it does not always happen so its hard to reproduce.
But once it accurs it would stay that way for a few minutes
I was actually going to create a post about it and ask for any other feedback.

I have owned 4 new 63's and not a single one of them felt this way.
It actually so far only happened when its warm.
Will try and capture it when it happens next time as you can hear it cluck as it changes and jerks

wow Maybe that stressed out the transfer case leading to its failure. Did the dealer say as far as what actually failed in the trans? Or did they not take it apart? I hope they shipped it back to Benz for failure analysis.

The trans pan was dropped and there was debris and large shavings, MB Authorized a new transmission within an hour or two of this photo being sent to them. Now it's a waiting game. Trans has arrived and took a day and a half to get the trans out. Expect to have the car back next week.

Brian Clarke, was your car completely stocked when the transmission had failed?

Bone Stock - Still is until I know this one isn't going to grenade on me too.

Wow sorry to hear four Race Starts and transmission is toast.
I hope M-Benz AMG does the right thing, replace with brand new trans. Given you a loaner immediately to lessen the hassle until you get your car back like new. Good luck.

Rough shiftting
I’m sorry to hear that
I actually have got the same exact issue as yours, I have taken the car to the service center of the dealer and they have done adaptations but the same case occurred again after 200 km, and my mileage is almost the same as yours 4500 km
its really frustrating I’m not even sure what to do? I think they fooled me with this car

Moving on to what car?
My trans wined for a long time after it was replaced. It got bought back by MB a few weeks ago. I was very sad to see it go, but before it was bought back it failed to start on me with all kinds of Christmas tree lights on the dash and rear axle warnings. Once a car leaves me stranded, it's over for me.
