Standard Exhaust vs Performance Exhaust
Hello,
Does anyone definitively know if the performance exhaust is actually a different physical exhaust than the standard exhaust? Or does that option merely give you a physical button to select the valve open/closing? I've driven a couple cars with standard exhaust and it sounds great, the valving works in tandem with the mode, so I was curious. Is the performance exhaust actually louder?
Thanks for any info.

Oh ya, it's quite a bit louder, you push the button and you hear the exhaust open up, I assumed it was just a cutout before the mufflers with an extra pipe that routed the straight through exhaust out the stock back pipes. Even still though at least with the acoustic package this car is super quiet inside until you really get on it and then all the crackling and popping starts, sounds like the fourth of july. I have not even looked at the undersides of this car though so I cant speak with certainty. I've gotta get this car up on a lift soon to check it out and then I'll know for sure.

Here are some pics for you to compare
Thinker diameter is valve port and thinner one is straight through
Shows the valve controller
Large one is for the Valve controlled Port

I have the performance exhaust and after driving my car for 3 days since delivery, I think it is rather quiet when I have the exhaust button on. Mind you, I have yet to go over 4000 rpm and so far it has been all city roads driving.

I was quite interested to hear the difference as well as many others. This is a semi warm startup, the first two blips are in Comfort
mode, the second two blips are with the Sports Exhaust activated and the final two blips are with the Sports Exhaust activated in Race Mode. This is a very mean sounding car!
