Any comfort issues with the sport seats?

I am changing my order to the sport seats, but before that is 'final', are there any fit or comfort issues folks have had here? I'm avg size and weight... Most driving is 1hr or less, but we may use it for longer drives (like 6hr to Maine). Can the sport seats be comfortable over such long drives?
Anyone have a chance to drive sport seats and the regular active bolster seats? Any sense of preference? Is the active seat with massage something I should keep?

I appreciate any views here... cheers

I just picked up my E63s and I find them to be plenty comfortable. It really comes down to personal opinion, but I think you will enjoy them. Good luck with the car!

I was lucky enough to sit in both before I ordered mine . Sports seat are much more supportive for spirited driving. The felt great compared to my 14' seats

If you're thinking sport seats and are average size, go with sport seats. No reason not to. Supremely comfortable and supportive, and they look sick.

Im confused here, some of the answers appear to be associated with the Performance Seat Option (not called Sport seats):

I’ve sat in E63S’ with both active massage and AMG Performance seats. I liked them both a lot. I generally do not care for active bolsters. If it were me I would lean toward the performance seats because I have them in my C63 and I love the way they look and feel beyond just test drives.

Advantage of the standard seats:

1. Moving side bolsters with turns.
2. Massage feature
3. Comfort

Sports seats look better. Have good support especially for performance driving.

Either a good choice. I personally like the standard seats because of the above for everyday driving.

I have the performance seats and drive my car maybe 4 hours a day. No issues at all and very comfortable. Next one will have them too.

I agree here as well, while less cushioned they are still plenty capable of providing comfort. I had the moving side bolsters on my SL63 and they were annoying; as if they were a few seconds late as I entered and exited turns.

That's what I was looking for... thank you. I agree with the comments regarding the superior looks vs the regular seats. I kind of like the massage feature, but rarely used it... last thing I need is to be lulled to sleep while behind the wheel!

Thanks to all for their opinions here. I can't to get back into an AMG.
