I'm curious where this September release date came from. I would think the dealers would know if there is an official release date and if cars will be held until a specific release date.

I believe that statement is based on previous years. Mercedes likes a new model year, especially limited or low production models to all show up at dealerships at the same time for reasons only known to them.

We don't until a few weeks prior..I only get what "quarter" they get released.. and since they can get held up for various reasons they don't give us a date usually until they are a 100% which could be days prior to release. I just watch them get built, watch them cross and land at the ports and start harassing my reps

My status today is B6, I'm assuming on the way to the port. Do you have any cars at State's side ports yet? Also wondering if you've heard any firmer release dates since the last post.
