Resetting transmission adaptations
Hey guys'n'gals,
The question: per the subject, has anyone actually done this/had this done and why? If so, how'd it turn out?
The reason: I'm doing it on the advice of my tuner. It's clear this MCT is well known for shifting like you've been rear-ended some of the time but I'm intrigued to see if an adaptation reset makes a difference.
The process: as I understand it, I can have this done by my dealer for a negligible cost (or for free if they're already hooked up to the car) or I can do it myself by disconnecting the battery overnight. Does this method work?
Thanks!

back in the day on the right models this worked:
https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...set-works.html
But that wont fly anymore; I think a hard reset via the battery might be your only option. Im surprised Eurocharged doesnt know how to since they obviously reset your ECU and have working knowledge of the TCU attributes.
Personally I have not done any sort of resetting but then again my MCT is smooth (er) than what you have described to me in PM's.

You might need the MCT adaptation not so much a reset
