2019 MSRPs

Have these been announced yet? Euro is down off its peaks - assume they hedge for currency risk. Any experience year-to-year, I have a 2019 on order.

With your current president you will never know how prices may be subject to change I guess..

Yeah, it's Trump's fault. How 'bout you do your whining offline?

I just put my order in recently as well. I’m wondering how Trumps tariffs are going to affect the bottom line. My build out came to about 128k ish on 2018 pricing. We’ll just have to wait and see. I’m currently driving a 2018 Hellcat Charger. It’s fun enough to pass the time with, but I miss having traction and a nice interior. :)

For German-made cars, the big problem would be the auto tariffs which haven't been imposed by the US yet, not so much the steel and aluminum tariffs which have just been imposed.

The hearing is in July, so as long as your car goes through customs in July or earlier you should be fine. After that, who knows... I think it would still take a few months before the tariffs are actually imposed, if it happens at all - it will be quite shocking if it happens because it would be a huge blow to the auto industry (both US-based and based outside the US) and to consumers. I'd be very surprised if such auto tariffs are ultimately imposed, but I guess it could happen with the people running the show now.

That was my reason for asking. Wondering if I can get a sales contract on this and shift the risk if the Administration imposes auto tariffs.

I don't think dealers write contracts on cars that they don't have (other than for a deposit sometimes). The merchandise needs to be available and priced first... You can reach an agreement on the price, but in my experience it's relative to MSRP, not absolute. For example, MSRP minus 6% minus fleet discount and incentives, or some such thing. If tariffs are imposed, the MSRP will go up, and so will your price.

It seems that people ordering their cars are waiting a lot longer than expected. I ordered a 2019 E63s sedan in early April with a delivery date in July but canceled the order when I found the 2018 Edition 1 wagon (estate). I should have it sometime next week. I hope that prices don't go up too much more and that the cars are finished and delivered soon for all of you still waiting. I wonder if the new BMW M5 is also having delayed build/shipping issues.

There are no MSRP's in the order guide or netstar for US 2019 E63's

Wow, that's roughly $2k more than 2018. To what do you contribute the uptick?

susman@eurogermantown.com 06-11-2018 08:17 PM

More standard options.. There are some package changes.. I have to double check but pretty sure some elements of the 18 lighting package is standard on the 19 e63.

I can check tomorrow

Much appreciated! Only about $1,000 higher than the E43 and E400 - not bad.
