That's so perfectly backward it's amazing. Learn something new everyday.

In Germany, “W” is for sedan. The “S” is for wagon. That’s why the wagons are “S4S.” So I think what you’re seeing for the C63 is the coupe, cabriolet and sedan. |

W = wagen (German) meaning sedan S = estate C = coupe A = soft top convertible X, V, and R make up the other designations you'd usually see, with X being an SUV, V being LWB sedans, and R being retractable hardtop cars, like the SL. |
Might need to turn to Plan B (RS7). I am not waiting until December.

Sorry I'm a bit lazy to go back and look at previous posts, but does anyone recall when MY18 E63s were released last year? I would assume they will be released same time this year, regardless of what the above chart shows.

Last year this was a new model and EPA and California certs needed to be done. This year the motor is the same so the long emissions hold shouldn't be a factor. |

Not sure that it's an apples to apples situation and that the same release date would apply.

I've confirmed this morning that the image posted by wassaby is from mbusa for our market, but is only somewhat accurate. New GLE400s should be arriving at dealers during the coming week; facelift C-Class should follow quickly behind. V8 models, specifically AMG vehicles, are confirmed delayed until late November/Early December - this is NOT an EPA issue, this is a European/MB issue, certification on their side, not ours.
G63 is delayed in similar fashion, won't see that for a while either. MBUSA is attempting to pull forward some models, but you folks waiting for your E63s need to be aware that the earliest you'll see your car is likely the start of December. Also he was totally not supposed to share that image, lol. But we like to live dangerously here on MB World. The image was part of a dealer webinar, optional participation. |

Really trying to fight not just buying a BMW... can have one next week. Plenty of Cabroilets (2019) on the BMW lot, not 150 feet from the MB dealer. |

The E63 motor was EPA certified months before October. It was held for marketing reasons then as well.

frustrating for all IM sure these guys are a bunch of morons. |
I mean anyone can do any amount of yelling or contacting, I was just sharing the info I got from a conversation I had this morning, in person, face-to-face, with an actual MBUSA regional operations director.
Figured that would help you folks still wondering what's "up in the air" or "speculation" |

Why in the world would they do this? The e63s has been launched. I wanted to buy a 2018, but couldn't find one. So had to order a new one, which means a 2019. So now I have to wait until December? This makes no sense. What am I missing here from this brilliant strategy?

I've also been informed that there is no indication of any "goodwill" program this time around...some of you mentioned this from last year, where two services were given out to certain owners of delayed models.
I've inquired about this, the answer was a resounding "no" |
