MY19 Launch Schedule

Not that it means anything for customer delivery date, but this article is written so as to suggest that at least one U.S.-spec MY19 wagon has escaped its VPC:

So I spoke with CARB today.
Some info. As suspected, all cars need a EO every year. Other states and even other countries (believe it or not), rely on the CARB certification. The relevant application was not made by MBUSA until Halloween - the person I spoke with said that the EO was still awaiting approval - likely within a couple of days - then a couple of days to post to the website.
Tests are done by the manufacturer and then certification made to CARB. Possible for EPA to pull in a car and verify results, but unlikely for subsequent years of a car.
So seems like things are moving along for a December release.

CARB related delay or not, Mbusa definitely ****ed up here. Well see if the e63s can erase that from my memory, otherwise there are lots of great alternatives.

Dear Dr. Singh,
Thank you for contacting the Mercedes-Benz Canada Customer Assistance Centre. We apologize for the delay in delivery of our 2019 models. We are currently waiting for the final certification from the government. Until the government certifies our vehicles, we cannot distribute them to the dealerships. The appropriate individual to follow-up on the date when your 2019 E63S will be available would be your sales associate or the sales department at your local Mercedes-Benz dealer as they would be contacted with the vehicle arrival date once our vehicles are certified.
Our apologies that we could not provide a more favorable response.
Yours sincerely,
Vaheesan

LOL... I literally got the same email from the same guy. Only diff was C43 instead of E63.
Seems like a generic email they are sending out if you request an update.

MBUSA's lack of transparency on the delay is really going to turn off a lot of their longtime customers. Not that I feel any other company provides a much better alternative. Don't have to look for very long online to find plenty of cases of BMWNA and Porsche treating loyal customers like crap. Unfortunately being loyal to a brand nowadays is mostly a losing proposition.

So this evening, as I was sweeping that empty space in the garage where my wagon should have been since September, I decided that my vote counts. MB is not going to get my vote in 2018! I am not walking away but I am not buying in 2018. If MB can make us wait 2,3,4 or more months for a deliverable car, I think they can wait until the first of the year to realize the sale. I was available to write that check in September or October but IF my wagon should appear before the end of the year, me and my checkbook are not so available. Am I cutting off my nose to spite my face? Probably. Am I going to turn to putty at first sight of my wagon? Of course.
Based on everything that has been presented here, my prediction is that my wagon will arrive at the dealership in the middle of December just in time so that we can be apart of MB's best December ever. For me, I think I can wait a few more days and deprive MB of one more sale in 2018. Come on BMW! You guys need to have a kick *** November and December. I know this is not going to show up as a blip on anybody's radar but it will make me feel like I am sticking it to the man. Will my salesperson suffer? Probably but that is one more blip on the radar and just maybe there will be enough blips that MB will see that this marketing style does not work.
Rise up my friends and lock up your checkbooks until January! Who am I kidding? There will be a massive east coast snow storm on December 7th and all those newly released cars will be delayed 10 days while they dig out.......Sigh.

there's a lot of easy money going on. central banks pouring money into the market, saving banks, that then know they will be saved and can lend and risk at their own will, and big companies getting money knowing that they are too big to fail and that consumers are too addicted to consume so they will get back one way or another.

As per the video link I have included below - the E63's now come with a gasoline particulate filter(s)? Or does this apply to Euro spec cars only? If it does come with the filter - better not f*#& with the noise/sounds - it is one of the main reasons I am buying this car.
