MF Buy Rate

Anyone know what the new Tier 1 MF is? did it move up to 0.00280 this month? Thanks

Koru_Kinshi 09-12-2018 03:57 PM

Not sure, but when I did mine in June, I got it at .00255

s26singh 09-12-2018 04:26 PM

In Canada, as per lease agreement sent to me on Monday for MY19 E63 S:
36 months
0.00246 MF (unchanged from 2018)
54% residual (down 1% from 2018)
18k KM/year

Southern_Benz 09-12-2018 05:49 PM

OP that is correct for standard programs.

"Super Tier" is .00030 lower than that

LOL he showed both what 1 MSD does and 10.

10 MSD's effective lowers your MF 1.68% in APR translation.

exactly 1 yr ago when the 2018 E63S was released around October 2017 in Canada, MBFS listed

36 months
58% residual
18K km/yr
same money factor or 5.9% interest rate

Really EH, my previous quote from the dealer in February 2018 says 55% residual - what would account for such a big difference within four months?

I will investigate. Thanks for the info, as always

Southern_Benz 09-13-2018 11:16 AM

Residuals change anywhere from 1-5% depending on annual mileage structure.

Because the 58% was an inception residual... they right sized it 4 months later.

Stateside, we saw 54% for 15k miles in Sept/Oct of 2017 or 58% for 7500 miles per year. They dropped in Q1 of 2018.

So your Canadian adjustments were mirrored or vice a versa.

I printed out the residual info (24 ; 66% and 36 months 58% ) at the time so I have a reference when it's time to sell my car

BLee80 09-14-2018 11:42 AM

based on the Canada residuals, safe to assume it will be unchanged for us here in the US......52% for 15k?

10 MSD's saves a lot of cash over the years.. not sure what else you can invest in to get those returns in a 3 year span

Problem is if you try to transfer that lease before its maturity, you have to convince someone to give you money so you effectively get your remaining MSDs back. And I’ve seen time and time again that while people are more than willing to take over a low lease payment, they don’t want to part with money upfront (even if they are told they will get it back) for a used car.

AMG 17GT 09-15-2018 12:21 PM

Acquisition and disposition fees and the Benz rate are just terrible.

I remember giving back CL 500 in 2005 and they sent me a bill for $3000 for a windshield and had a fuzzy picture of a window crack. I want to the dealership where I turned it in and they had in fact bought the car but the people handling the lease turn in we’re still trying to get money out of me for something that didn’t occur as that windshield was undamaged. Had the sales manager call the Benz rep saying no windshield damage and it was their car, why aggressively trying to extort $$.

No more leases for me.

Yea won't help much if you do swap a lease or anything

I have to even on my 17 C class Im turning in next month as I just bought a E350 wagon we traded
