Performance Seats Omission

I've recently been looking at new cars, in this case AMG saloons. I decided to spec an E63S and saw that part of the spec for driving assistance package is omission of performance seats. Why is this the case, is this only in the UK?

You can get both, there's a different code for driver assistance with perf seats (at least in the US). Confused me a ton at first too .

Up here

In the great white north we can’t get performance seats either with the intelligent drive (distronic) Package. The only exception I saw was the edition 1 cars last fall. It’s weird and I can’t get a straight answer out of anyone here either as to why it’s this way. In the USA everything is piecemeal (options wise) compared to having everything packaged up here. Not sure if it’s that way in the UK...
