Question on E53 Coupe Ordering
 

Question for you guys,
Any experience with the E53 orders? I placed one with a dealer two weeks back but they didnt have any allocations. They made it seem the allocations were pretty easy to trade for but I checked in recently and they said they made no progress on it.

Any thoughts on what to do here, should I keep pushing the dealer or should I try and find one with an allocation? I'd be happy to get the car in December but don't want to get it in the dead of winter Feb, I'd rather wait until March at that point. Maybe I should just add the HUD to create the artificial delay haha.

The factory order is not open for E53. the Launch Timeline is Q4 2018. You should expect first production for mid November.

I don't believe the E63 tips are changing.

I would assume though that the dealer needs to still secure an allocation for build dates in November. Otherwise this most likely will get pushed to Jan/Feb

Can I ask you how it works then if the dealer doesn't have an allocation. My build doesn't have any of the items that would delay it like the HUD or Performance Exhaust but do the dealers just swap the allocations around or do you think It's more likely next year?

They should be able to trade for a changeable one... there are several out there in "green" status (Scheduled). MOst of those arent being built until early to mid Dec or beyond (mid Jan).. if they dont have a PO yet and arent trading for one, then earliest would be Feb build and March delivery

You're right. E53 Coupe is available to be ordered. Just very few allocations right now.
