Anyone decide on a winter setup, I want 19" wheels

Hey guys,
Winter is close, and I live in New York City. The E63s is my daily commuter so I need a reliable setup. I was thinking of some cool 19" replicas from the amg gt model.

What rim size and offset should I look out for. Any suggestions on styles?

A very long thread from last winter here:
https://mbworld.org/forums/w213-amg/...ter-setup.html

Within that thread, my post describing my 19" setup:
https://mbworld.org/forums/w213-amg/...ml#post7336563

This setup worked great for us last winter.

Any reason you want to go with 19s and not 20s? I’m about to go through my first winter so maybe I’ll find out why ha.

A smaller rim is part of "Winter Tire Minus Sizing" providing better traction via a narrower footprint:

I'm interested in following your set up. I have an SUV for the snow and super cold days but I still want to drive my E63 this winter. Btw I also live in the NYC suburbs (Long Island).

Winter wheels

I got a tip from somebody at the dealership to use the company Tire Rack.
The sales person, Butch from Tire Rack was really familiar with what my e63 needed.

Great service, and they shipped them fast.

Ps I got the Amg wheel inserts on amazon.

Winter tires

I’m looking forward to trying the winter tires because I suspect they’re going to be quieter than the summer ones.

Do you remember the brand and model name of the wheels? I'm sorry, I should have asked that question in the previous post ;-)

Thank you guys for all the help.

So what is the final verdict for the best tire and wheel size setup, using 19" wheels.
Best wheel size and offset?

255/40/19 or 265/40/19 ... if you are going with those mentioned factory 19" spec.

MY17 S63AMG - MBUSA Buyback. MY16 SL63 - Sold MY19 W213 E63s. 2020 W213 E63s Wagon
Got a set of the W212 E63s off of my old 2016 E63s for sale. They are 19” that was taken off of the car when it only had 1,200 miles on it for aftermarket 20” wheels. Sold the E63s with the aftermarket wheels on it. $4,200 including tires and shipping within the US. No curb rash, scratches or damage.

PM if your interested. Thanks.

For those who want to get a winter setup and downgrade to 19" wheels with no spacers, can someone please confirm the following as optimal setup:

Front: 19 x 9.5 et 25
Rear: 19 x 9.5 et 52 Four identical tires: 265/40R19 = front rim:9.5Jx19 ET25 / rear rim: 9.5Jx19 ET52If going staggered for tires then: 265/40ZR19 / 295/35ZR19 (rim must be 10Jx19 ET55)

This is my total findings from searching all threads, can anyone confirm?

Yes. Don't bother going staggered would be my suggestion.

If you choose to go aftermarket wheels, nobody makes that exact offset (as far as I have researched thus far).

Im thinking of getting all season tires for my e, NYC roads are never that bad. Ill stick to the non staggered setup. Any ideas for cool concave after market 19"s?

Mandrus Atlas makes a 19x9.5 5x112 ET 25 (front) and a 19x9.5 5x112 ET 53 (rear), which is an exact fit (front) and only 2mm off (rear).

Ja, true. But they are a near-perfect match dimensionally so no spacers needed and no prematurely worn-out tires.
