E63S Wagon allocation?

My local dealer doesn't have an allocation and the next closest dealers are even smaller and 200+ miles away. What is a reasonable way to find a dealer willing to get me my build? Just calling around to distant dealers at random feels weird.

GreenFox 11-15-2018 09:15 PM

Nothing weird about it. I had to call quite a few dealers before finding a build allocation that had the Head-Up Display and wouldn't require me to wait until second half of 2019. I would just email a bunch of dealerships and see who has something available. You can also check with Shahul on here -- I believe he has an E63S Wagon that is waiting to be released from VPC and ready to go.

Call Shahul!

Just call around until you find a dealer that wants your money.. I live close to Keys Mercedes in Sherman Oaks Ca., these guys wouldn't even place an order for me unless I gave them a non-refundable deposit of $10k.
So I called the dealer in Santa Monica and had my wagon in 5 weeks...and a small discount..

Let your fingers do the walking..

Wow—Keys tried that?! Not even legal in CA for non refundable deposits on cars...

AirKuhl 11-16-2018 06:13 PM

Thanks, I guess I'll start emailing around. If anyone has a preferred dealership let me know. I know there are a couple out there now but I want a very specific build.

I don't need the vehicle until May '19, hopefully that is realistic.

Does Anybody really have allocations ;):rolf: - I have been waiting since June for my promised "August... No later than mid Sept" allocation

Did you buy your wagon from W.I Simonson?

Jesse Cannon-Wallace at Atlanta Classic Cars got my wagon, and she's awesome to work with. (770)279-3680 or jcw@atlantaclassiccars.com.

Hey Guys,

I have a crazy thing going on here.
As I was about to put an order for a 2019 E63 AMG Wagon ( of course) I see online that MB is about to do a mid-cycle face-lift on the E-Class... So Now comes the BIG question get my dream car or wait and get the updated version?
I have been day dreaming about an E63 Wagon for a while and just as I'm about to pull the trigger comes this new dilemma FML.

The other part of this nightmare is if I was to hold off and then the 2020 gets held up until God knows when because of some EPA BS then I won't see my car until 2021

Buy the 19 wagon. You won't be disappointed. If you decide you like the face-lifted version in a year or two, when they are actually available, trade the 19. The car is so much fun...perfect blend of sport, elegance, and gangsta.

Hey, for a new member can you point me to a thread that explains how the allocations work? I have ordered a wagon for a May 2019 Euro delivery and got the PO with the confirmation date. Just curious about the allocation convo and if that has any effect on my order

susman@eurogermantown.com 11-19-2018 11:35 AM

If you have a PO you should be all set, has to be paid for before you go though

I agree 100% that it is a great car, my MAJOR concern is value on a trade once face-lift is out there and shaving $40k+ from my bank account lol

I certainly understand that! You'll make the right call for yourself and your situation. When you do get it, enjoy it:zoom:

You have to factor in the value of the grin on your face from driving it every day for a year instead of waiting and worrying without one.
Life is short, you never get that year back.

If you got a PO there's nothing to worry about about your ED.

Anyone know if MBUX will be part of the refresh?

I don't think so they will have MBUX. MBUX requires to many software and hardware changes to be used just for a refresh.

All signs point to the face lift coming in late 2020 as a 2021, at the earliest. There's always the chance that it comes in 2021 as a 2022MY.
