W213 E63s Complete 64 Color LED Vent
My friend asked me to post this group buy opportunity for the subjected LED vents for the W213 E class.
It comes with 64 ambient colors, CLS style vents. Star Diagnosis for the LED lighting required. $650 plus shipping. PM me if you like to be added to the list. Thanks.
Edit: Mercedes Indy shop with star system can do the complete install for $100-150 ( max ).

According to another member on here, its relatively easy if your handy or a local shop can do vents only in 10 minutes:

The vents are OEM so nothing will change as far a air circulation is concern. Thanks.

The existing knobs on the dash that control airflow volume will no longer be operable.

vents easy to install (WIS required), but making led to work will require some work through the Star Diagnosis. You need to adapt each LED to work simultaneously with ambitient lighting.
Incorrect. Everything remains same. I have that already installed

Thanks, I don’t have the equipment or capability to do the Star Diagnosis which puts a scupper on things.

If you find equipment with updated software to support 2018 and later model year (late 2017) and internet connection, we can organise to set it up for you through “team viewer”

Hello,
I recently got a E53 coupe courtesy car from the dealer with these lighted turbo vents. Wow, the look great so now I want to install them on my E63S 2019. The mechanical installation is pretty well documented for the DIY, but the electrical wiring is not documented at all. Also there are few mentions that the the regular Eclass W213 parts dont fit in the E63 W213 model? Part list below is from the W213 sedan post https://mbworld.org/forums/w213-amg/...-led-vent.html
Please can someone confirm for the E63S the following info?
1. Are these the correct part numbers? (listed below from the Non AMG W213 post)
6x A000 906 45 07 LED
2x A257 830 25 00 Outer Vents
1x A257 830 24 00 Central Vent left
1x A257 830 23 00 Central Vent right
1x A 213 540 12 28 Wiring
2. Pictures and or details of wiring harness install
3. What needs to be changed in the Xentry, and will a good dealer service center know and be willing to activate the additional 6 LEDs?
Thanks in advance,
cheers

Small old air vent controls need to have tabbs cutt off and be screwed into dash cover.
Hello,
OK,
I made the changeover, required a few mods. Here are some details:
1. All the LED wiring was put into 1/8” heat shrink tubing.
2. All connections were heat shrink tubed, and super 33 electrical taped.
3. I tapped into the display LED’s not the console. Used the A213 540 12 28 short wiring harness and cut it in half. Used one end to tap into display LED, the other for connecting all 6 leds in parallel.
4. Need a good 26 awg stripper, and a small tip soldering iron.
5. Easiest to make and solder wire color pairs, then combine pairs and solder all together.
6. Make sure you use a small screwdriver to release the many different types of latching connectors on the back of the display. Don’t just pull.
7. The center new vent pairs do not have a hole for inserting the old small air knobs, however you can screw them into the dash cover since there are two unused screw holes for what seems exactly made for this.
8. Great time to also snake a 12V wire up from the 12V accessory port since the top of the dash is also open. under the left side of the glove compartment, there actually is an easy route. Good for detectors and cameras.
9. Took my time, about 6 hrs. Used gloves and towels to eliminate scratches.
10. You do need to go get the LED’s enabled in Xentry. Will be doing this soon.
Does anyone have the Xentry location information to enable? My dealer is unsure.
Cheers

I bought a set of these, but these appear to be rewired for plug & play. Does anyone have a DIY on how to do so without cutting the wires? Or does this need to go to a shop and get Star diagnostics still? Bought mine from CKM Car Design.

replica sets are plug & play. no need to adapt via star.
