0-60;1/8th;60-100 E63s Stock Dragy Times

These are some runs done with my MY19' E63s completely stock. I have tried Race Mode vs Sport+ all with launch control, ~3500 rpm-46psi Front and 35psi rear (New York roads a mess so not comfortable reducing tire pressure). Can't tell which is yielding better times RM or S+. Has anyone experimented with different RPM,s,tire pressure and RM vs S+ and what combo has yielded optimal results. Also Track Pace App in car seems to give me about .1 better results--Anyone have a view on accuracy of Track Pace.

I took my car (and myself) to the track for the first time. It took a run or two to get the launch control figured out and some other things. On my 3rd and last run of the day was my best time. Car is completely stock and everything was the same as when I drive it to work. Will try to upload picture later

660 ft - 7.267
1/8 mph - 94.39

11.332 at 121mph

All of us are in the same boat. These cars just have no top end. 0-60 car launches hard but 60-130 it is a slug compared to F90. I might try PURE turbos next year to remedy that.

My IATS are also through the roof when I’m at the drag strip and get in a few runs.

if you tune both M5 and E63s the E63s win most of the time. M5s just have more stock power. Seen one with 690hp stock already. If both with 750HP tune and the E63s was 0,2seconds faster 100-200kph. I have both cars here .

If you're driving the car along at say 200-220 km/h (124-136 mi/h) then floor it, the car gets up and moves pretty well. Pulls pretty hard up the the point where I shut down at around 270 km/h (170 mi/h). No doubt that the car will pull all the way to the speed limiter.

Now, is the top end performance less than some other stock or modified cars, sure. But to say the car has no top end is I think going a bit too far.

Ye the fun part is without speed limiter it goes up to 367kph. The Stock one is really held back by software. I could measure the same 100-200kph with 5 ppl inside or when im alone. If 35C° or 9C° Outside. It just delivers the 620HP no matter what. Once tuned it really goes up. Just a tune did 5,7-5,8 100-200kph. Thats a huge increase from 7,4-7,7 stock.

I agree I was being a little extreme. All I’m saying is with my testing (stage 2 tune + JB4) my car falls a little flat on the top end. Similar modified F90 M5 are getting much higher 1/4 mile traps and better 60-130 times. But I love the car and have no regrets. I will keep pushing it and seeing what I can get from it. I needed a break after 3 M5s in a row before I jumped into a F90.

Thank god i have no restriction for like 45miles in each way. But it gets tough above 330-340kph you gotta focus .

Hehehehehe, yeah I hear you! We once did a trip from Mainz to Schwangau to go to the Neuschwanstein Schloss. Even though it was over 340 KM, it was the best, most exhilarating, fastest 340 KM I have ever done. Once we got South of Stuttgart, it was flat out down to right outside of Schwangau! It was winter time so I was in an S6; it topped out at 268 KM/hr but it is a hell of a lot better than doing 110 KM/hr here in the States....and that is considered speeding on our Autobahns here out in the Country!

If you want a nice A to drive, take the A62 from K-town down to Trier. It is unrestricted for pretty much the entire trip and the corners are very, very nice.

Hahahahaha :-) I work for a Major software company that you most likely use on a daily basis at work and maybe at home. The job takes me to Germany usually twice per year. I end up working in between Wiesbaden, Kaiserslautern and Stuttgart with various Military customers.

I rent the AMGs and Audis on my own. The company only pays a little bit of the rentals....

On that note, I've said this in many other forms, get yourself to Germany, rent an AMG (use Sixt Rental Car as they have AMGs), go out on the Autobahn and drive it like you stole it...Twice! You will understand why these cars are built the way they are built.
And go do the Factory tour in Affalterbach. It will answer MANY questions we all have about our beautiful treasures!
