Fuel Tank is small

The fuel tank on the W213 is so much smaller than my w212, surprised how often I have to fill up also. Pretty insane lol. Hopefully they increase the size in the next gen,

ArtyyArt 02-08-2019 05:36 PM

I fill mine up every 2 days :rolf:

buy Lexus LX570 if 78L tank is small for you :rolf:

bobblehead 02-08-2019 06:16 PM

Our car has 66l tank, I believe 56 litres to empty and 10 litres left as reserve

compared to 68l tank for the latest bmw m5

Gl and g wagon has a 100l tank

Like the majority of humans, I'm not a fan of getting gas. Within first month of ownership, I ran out of gas and had to use MBrace. Works great by the way; they sent someone out immediately.

It's the same size as was on my E550 2012! I think you are complaining about the mpg which is around 18 vs 25-28. Got to pay to play. Oh, wait, you're in NYC. Your mpg will be closer to 14. 😀

Good for them. Good for their size.

HPMan 02-08-2019 08:15 PM

According to the owners' manuals, both the W212 and W213 E63S receiving an 80l tank (at least in NA).

That's correct.

Most of my miles are highway (150 RT), but I would say so far my mpg is pretty similar to what I got in the 212, actually pretty reasonable for a twin turbo V8. I can easily get two trips down on 1 tank and thats probably 50% casual driving in sport w/ exhaust and the other 50% using paddles in S+ and aggressive throttle

V70cat 02-09-2019 12:00 AM

The range is a little on the light side. On the highway I am getting over 20 mpg which is good given the power.

LMAO ya,

Hoping once my break in period is over I can drive normal at highway speeds an hopefully get better mpg.

W212 does not have a larger fuel tank. They are the same.

Pioneer222 02-09-2019 01:36 PM

What are your "normal highway speeds" that are not in within the break in rules? that make you think you will get better gas mileage afterwards? Are you in Germany also? Gas mileage does not get much better with the higher speeds unless you are very delicate on the throttle:) Lol

E55 KEV 02-09-2019 01:41 PM

My GLE63s has 24 gallon tank and with all city driving I'm lucky to get 200 miles a tank. That's 9 mpg.

I have a little over 11,000 miles on my MY2018. Highway mileage (in Comfort setting) is around 22 which assumes a significant amount of 4-cyl operation. My average mpg for the life of the vehicle is currently 18.3. I am running all-season Bridgestone RE980AS tires. Some people have reported a drop in mpg with those fitted, but I haven't noticed any significant difference from my Michelin PS4 summer tires. I'm probably not going to mount that tire/wheel assembly again when the weather gets warmer and will put them on the marketplace in the Spring for sale. It's too bad that I didn't know about the all-season tire option before I purchased an entire new set of cross-forged OEM wheels. :)

yeah, but was optional, now is default. Mine came with a 66l despite being a MY19... Don't know if it is because it was configured when the slots were for my18 :/

Is the new second set 19 or 20?

hyperion667 02-10-2019 09:04 AM

I don't know what you guys are talking about......I love going to the gas station and filling up my beast with fuel. I love to spend the money, I love to see the other normal cars at the pump.....but why do we need TV's at the pump? THAT is fawking stupid.
