Just an FYI, on my C43 this is what happens when I unlock the car with my key. Are you sure the E63 doesn't have this feature?

On the Audis it’s not just llocked (coded) but there’s also different hardware so they need the complete lamp assemblies. Don’t know about the MB but don’t get your hopes up for an easy programming fix.

I spent three months messing around with an LED headlight conversion. Seeing this brings back nightmares - lol. Long story short, is my daughter got a loaded CLA - albeit LED headlights. She and I hate the plain lights - ugly. I didn't think it would be that big of a deal. Suffice to say, no dealer (talked to several) wanted to tackle the retrofit. Their words were, they service MB's and that's it. I researched this for months. I was even willing to get rid of the car and get a car that has the LED lights. That wasn't an option either, because there wasn't another car like the one she had, and she wanted that one. Lol - all you dads with daughters. You know what I'm talking about. I had to get all of the lights (not cheap). At first it looked like I was going to have to get Vediamo/Xentry for the programming. Fortunately I didn't. After finding/getting the conversion harnesses. I was able to get an OBD connector you plugin that configures it for you automatically. It was a heck of a project and a lot of work. Have to admit, it's a satisfying feeling now that it's all done and actually works. My daughter was there every step of the way with me. Emails, calls, tearing the car down... everything. So it will always be a great memory for me because we did it together.

Wow! Congrats on getting it done and getting some time in with your daughter. Personally, I dont think I'd have the ***** to rip into my car like that. I just love her too much to hurt her by mistake....lol.
