Rear window shade . . .
accidentally posted this in the W212 forum as my old car was one and then it was brought to my attention that I'm in the wrong forum so this is my first question/post in the correct forum. What a way to get started . . . . .
Anyways, does one of you know if it is an option to have the power rear window shade installed after the fact on a '19 E63S? Mine did not come with one and I have a feeling I'll miss it once the sun comes out. Otherwise it'll be a tint . . .

It is a part of a package and I do not know how to retro fit it, but, I haven't had one in years and even when I did have it, I never used it. I always had trouble seeing through it to what was behind me. If the sun and heat are a problem, just get a tint of some sort, or buy some of those that suction cup ones and stick them up.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I have it on my w211, and its a pain right now. If you are owning you are better off not installing it and just getting a little window tint. The rear shade either does not open correctly or close and its a pain to keep going and having to fix it.

I have it on mine and it works fine for me. Up during the day and down at night. I can see fine through the shades during the day but at night not so much. Kind of like having dark tints at night. The automatic feature makes it convenient and its just freaking awesome. I love it.

tint is done and I'm glad it was suggested. Dramatically improved the already good looks for the car. Apparently it'll help with heat control as well . . .
