Does anyone know a shortcut to open the camera? In my GLS63, I am able to hold the "Car" symbol button on the dash for 2-3 seconds and the camera would open. I can use the Park Assist camera button, but you need to scroll through the different options to enable to the camera. Just thinking of a quicker way to get the front camera open when parking near those parking blocks.

Press the volume wheel on the steering column to mute radio.
The LED dash light on Driver side or Passenger side turn red when you turn up heat, or blue when turn it cooler.

The Echo Skill for Mercedes Me is pretty cool. Asking Alexa where the car is, or the odometer reading, or how much gas, or starting the car, or sending an address or POI to the nav. All very cool.

The button on the end of the windshield wiper stalk has two functions: a short press will do one wipe; a long press will activate the washers. For the longest time, I was turning the control on and then off for a single wipe. This is much easier!

I would add that it needs to be a firm press to activate the washer fluid dispersal feature. First time I attempted to use the washer I thought they hadn’t filled the tank as nothing was coming out. Then after buying some fluid and topping off the tank and still nothing can out, I figured out that a firm press was needed.
We get kind of out of practice using the wiper/washers here in So Cal with the long break between rains from the end of spring to start of winter.

Speaking of whiper ... the info must certainly be in the instructions for the owner but..how to make that the windshield wipers remain at vertical position to be able to lift them during the washing of the car ?

go fast grocery getter wagon
couple of ways. One as mentioned in the manual. The other one is doing it by hand, simply move the wiper arm gently to vertical position. I do it both ways and no issues thus far.

My first MB, so it was a new feature to me, you guys may already know....the Smart Favorite feature for radio.
Any station you set as a Smart Favorite starts recording as soon as you start the car. You can go to that station and rewind song by song all the way back from vehicle start, even if you were listening to something else.

When you are on a station push down on the selector and go to the left. There is an “Add to Smart Favorite” option.
Once a channel is a smart favorite a little clock with a rewind arrow around it appears when you are on it. I think it’s up by the Star for Preset.

I showed my wife the car's DVR and she declared it possibly the #1 Stupid Mercedes Trick, although she thinks ambient lighting is probably still the winner. She's such a Luddite.

And to play the recording, you play the station and move the controller to the right (to the "options menu") and select Playback Control. The wheel then moves back and forward in the recording.

Interesting never tried it on anything else. I do like the fact that the car pauses SiriusXM when you get a phone call. Nice if someone interrupts your jam. Same thing with the playback control though. Skipping back and forth to the beginning of the songs is kinda nice.

a statement which probably begs of a new tip: "if you're paying more than $75/yr-ish for Sirius you're the one convincing those crooked ****s their service is worth inconveniencing the rest of us with the need to negotiate"
cancel it. you'll get offers. take the 2nd or 3rd offer, and please for the love of god never pay the ridiculous fees they think their **** is worth. thanks!

If you ordered panoramic roof, and you put your car in sports + or race mode. If you have it tilted open, the roof adjust itself depending on your speed. I noticed it when I was driving on the highway.

Rediscovered a feature yesterday. The Valet trunk lock.
Took a drive to Julian, CA yesterday with the family and went to open the trunk after we got there to grab something but no joy. Tried the Lord of Dance kick maneuvers under the trunk, used the key fob, and the interior trunk release but nothing would open the trunk.
Finally gave up and called Mercedes Me. After spending a bit of time with the helpful lady on the phone, she called a service person and talked with them. Had me check the switch just inside the top center of the glove box. You can flip that switch and then lock the glove box and then the trunk can't be opened by valets.
I'd forgotten all about it. It's outside my sight line so don't normally see it. Must have bumped it when putting my tire gauge back in the glove box.
Sure enough the switch was in the locked position. Flipped to unlocked and presto, trunk works normally again

When I picked up my car, the salesman pointed it out in his mandatory introduction to the car. I told him he could skip features, like this one, that our last few AMGs had. He said that do to the cost of emergency calls and unneeded service visits, he was required to point out certain features. Cracked me up.

It was pointed out during our factory delivery in Germany over a year ago, along with a bazillion other things. This is my first Mercedes, so there were many new features to me.
The tech was very thorough, which I appreciated, but as I haven't used this feature in over a year, and as pointed out, can't see the switch normally, I of course forgot about it.
Don't valet park my car much, and usually don't have anything in the trunk I'd worry about in any case.

Hello,
There is a quick reference guide that shows some of the touchpad tricks. https://www.mbusa.com/vcm/MB/Digital...RG_E_Sedan.pdf
You can push through to the audio by pushing up two fingers.

Was listening to music via my iPhone today. Had my Escort 360MaxC connected via Bluetooth to phone. The audible (spoken) Ka Band alert came through the car speakers. First time I heard that. Kind of cool.
