Externally the only difference is supposedly the headlights which will mirror the CLS/CLA/GLE "checkmark" style and whatever changes they need to make to the surrounding metal to make it fit and the taillights. It appears it will be getting a version of MBUX that including a new parking suite of sensor and cameras that tell you if you're "between the lines"...which I'm going to comfortably assume almost everyone will ignore.

Glad they are changing the tail lights. I hate how from the back the current one looks near identical to the C class.

I'm glad I got a 2020 and didn't wait for the facelift. It looks like the taillights will be similar to GLE/CLS which I'm not a fan of. And the new steering wheel looks cheap with all the gloss black plastic. MBUX is a nice upgrade from the current COMAND.

New steering wheel should be in a Kia. Hate.

I find the steering wheel much uglier than the current one. I really like the one in the E63. Head/tail lights don’t do much to me. I have heard mixed things about the MBUX system, but I strongly dislike the COMAND system. The voice user interface is horrible.

AMG E63 Hammer Wagon. Alfa, Rover, Ferrari, Porsche.
Well I feel relieved because I picked up a 2020 AMG wagon and was stressing about waiting for the facelift, but I don’t see anything I care about here and quite like the current styling. MBUX might be better but I don’t really care about that either because all I use is apple CarPlay anyway, everything else is set it and forget it... Typical mid-cycle fluff if you ask me.

My iPhone will only connect when I plug it in to the USB outlet. Is that normal? I find it annoying it won’t connect through wirelessly.

If you're talking about CarPlay, yes it needs a cable. But ordinary BlueTooth connection to use the phone should work.

This says 2019 A-class will have wireless CarPlay. As far as I know, this never happened, even in 2020 models.

Now that we have wireless CarPlay with the M8 it's hard to go back to wired. Even in the HUD. I hope Mercedes finally gets going on this...

How does CarPlay work in the HUD?

Should have said it is limited. It doesn't do the CarPlay dual screen feature.

At this point Entertainment info. Show the song/cover art plus controls in HUD.
Am waiting for Waze, Apple/Google Maps in HUD. I played around with it in the garage but will try tomorrow on the road if any non-BMW nav shows

the E63S facelift appears to have been leaked. Not sure how I feel about the design. Maybe I’m biased because I just got a 2020.

S63 AMG Cabrio
And here some more video, with explanation of the many many upgrades the new E will get (at 11:55 also the front without many protection visible):

BTW, using Android Auto / Google Maps I now already get directions shown in the HUD (not with Waze).

You may be biased but I am not and I prefer the look of the current car over the new one also.
First time in my life I don't look forward to the new model, used to keep my cars for 1 year on average and always replaced them as soon as the new version showed up.
Not anymore, not ordering the new S-Class as I can not stand the Tesla like dashboard, decided to sink a lot of $$ in my current car to make it a real beast and plan to keep it the full 4 years.

For English speakers, the comments on this video are very illuminating. Use google translate (right click and select Translate this page; then if you get an error, select from German in Options). The German public is responding much like we are.

...It looks like an widened A-Class...

Feel better knowing I can just wait for the S214/W214

If the leak is for real then the rear now looks identical to a CLA. Even worse.

I agree - I was on the fence about this because I have a 2020 on order... I think they nailed it perfectly as is... obviously they have to move forward with design but I'm glad I got the last MY of the wagon..

While it could be photoshopped, the tail light outline is exact. One of the videos shows the tail lights behind light camo and open trunk.

MB’s design language has changed. That is pretty clear and easy to see from the CLS, A Class, AMG GT 4 door.

I have a feeling the e63 is going to look very similar to the GT63 front...
