2019 Differential Service at 1875 miles no longer needed?

Greetings

I took delivery of a 2019 Canadian E63 AMGs Wagon and there is a sticker on the windshield that says to replace the dif fluids after 1875 miles.

I called they AMG service advisor and she indicated the 19’s received a new differential and no longer need this service until 50,000 kms?

Input appreciated, Cheers !

interesting. What is your build date?

I have a 19, US delivery, and it did come with the sticker as well.

However when I did bring it to the dealer for the diff service, the Service Advisors were absolutely clueless regarding the service and thought I was trying to bring it in for a regular oil change. It probably took about 25-30 minutes of back and forth and roping someone else into the convo before they actually realized it was a break in service.

All said and done, they did in fact perform the service. I would 100% double check and go up the ladder at your servicing dealership on that.

Same here, my 2019 came with the sticker and same story with my service Advisors, but it only cost me 200$ so I I went for it.

They're doing mine tomorrow. Covered by the prepaid maintenance. Nothing about it not being needed. It's in the E-Class Sedan Mercedes-AMG Supplement manual that came with the car (page 12).

Bought my wagon in late February with the prepaid maintenance and it included this service in the contract. There was a post here a month or so ago about someone being denied this service even though it was in their prepaid plan because it was no longer required by MB. Not sure how that got resolved.

.
Canadian 2019 Wagon here as well. Don’t know if it’s “required” or not, but it is covered in the pre-paid maintenance plan.

I am confused. Does this say that it is NOT needed for the GT63, but is required for the E63S?

i'm worried for a $1 bill... money does not grow on trees.

the question in this thread is if the rear differential oil still needs to be changed or not. not the price of it.

Totally agree. Just because we spent a lot on our cars doesn't mean we just want to set fire to money. There is a thread on this already, but I have a 19 and the service was required and included in prepaid maintenance, BUT it was a little bit of a pain to get my dealer to recognize all of this.

Neither the diff nor the fluid changed for 2019 so the only thing that changed was that Mercedes engineering decided the amount of metal shed by the moving parts of the diff during the break-in period was not seen as significant enough to warrant a fluid change anymore...but being an engineer myself, I ask, isn't a $120-200 fluid change for the diff cheaper than a replacement or repair later down the road if your diff's wear is out of spec and there is more metal debris than expected? Might as well do it out of a sense of caution.

Found this sticker on my windshield (US 2019 E63S).
Are you folks saying we can ignore it?

I just got that service done under my prepaid plan at the dealership. I wouldn’t ignore it.

Edit: 2019 E63s

I am approaching 1600 miles and was thinking the same thing. My car didn't have this sticker, so I just emailed the service advisor to ask them their thoughts. Even if he says, MB changed its plans, I will likely just get it performed.

I also just got this service done at my Southern CA dealer under the Prepaid plan. No problem.
