Arabian Grey E63S
This came across my FB feed today. Looks like Nardo, but they said it's Arabian Grey. Yes, please.

Looks fantastic. Arabian Grey looks much darker to me, that looks like nardo.
|
Yup, time for more colors from MB in the e63.

Its for sale at a dealer by me: MBZ Laguna and has a 16.8k interior add and a 159k msrp. It was the show car at the Masters.
https://www.mblaguna.com/inventory/n...zf8kb3ka593472 The car detail link confirms its Arabian and that interior is excellent to me but 16.8k???? Edit: MSRP details: https://www.ipacket.info/WDDZF8KB3KA593472 |

You overlooked the $2500 default customization fee on top of the $16.850. I swear only MB can charge $20k for an interior that looks 90% stock. Totally bonkers...
I do like the gray. For lack of a better description, the car has a very monochrome look to it and stands out. I like it :) And I like the car as a whole too but not at 159k or even at a lower number. I just dont see the E63S at that price point but someone will and that car will go cause of the market its being sold in. |
Can't you buy a $120k E63S and go get it painted this color?
|
I did Audi Exclusive in my previous car. They give you a book of leathers and paints and you pick what you like and what stitching and so on. It ended up costing around $13k I believe just for interior. Price of admission at Audi was $1,200.
It’s a great option and gives you a truly unique car. Thing is you won’t see any of your money on trade in I’m afraid. So you have to be ok letting it burn or be patient till you get a private buyer. I’d be disappointed spending nearly $20K on the AMG and getting the plastic lower door trim and lower dash but that’s just me. |
THAT is a badass color.
|
There was a arabian grey wagon at the laguna seca academy in march. Beautiful color in person
|
There are also a few other exclusive color cars floating around out there...including the China Blue wagon

The cost of custom exterior colors isn't that bad. In this case $8k. It's the cost of the interior customizations that is ridiculous. This is the only time where I see the full leather treatment on the E (lower dash, lower door panels, etc.) something you can get on the S-Class for $2200 as a side product with the exclusive Nappa option. Dynamica headliner and CF interior are excluded (still listed as chargeable options for $4450) the the almost $17k is only for the leather treatment
And that is nice but not that special. I would want full single color interior, special stitching options and Nappa leather headliner. Perhaps some other CF or wood options as well. I like that MB finally starts to offer this but hope for more choices and better pricing. This is an E-Class after all... |
This color is becoming very popular. I see it on Audi RS series and Mustangs, I am not sure how I feel about it on those cars but the E63 is Mmmmmm.

Right, someone needs to buy it so I can buy it for the price as every other used E63 in a couple years.

It's ridiculous. BMW charges $5.5k for a red interior and usually they will discount it to 5k. 16.8k is absurd. Also the iPACKET seems like its missing something. Even with a $17k interior how do you get ti $160k without ceramic brakes. There must be an unlisted option charge of at least 10k for the paint.

OMG. $8K for paint. That's close to be having a real nice set of HRE wheels
|
man, that is sharp! wish I could get a do over now.

Arabian grey is now my most favorite colour!

I would actually say that $8k for a full factory paint job isn't "that bad" for what amounts to a custom special order (i.e. not a "choose from among these 5 special colors for $X).

I think it's ok as well. Pricier than BMW but cheaper than other MB stock paints. For example on the AMG GT, Solarbeam Yellow and Green Hell Magno are $10k
