Different brands of coolant same color(pink)

I noticed that I'm running a little bit low in my 2019 E63S for coolant. I have some leftover pentofrost ++(pink) from my previous Audi and I was going to top it off with a 50/50 mix. I don't think it's an issue, but just wanted to get some feedback. Thanks in advance. I have a 1-year service scheduled in a few weeks.

I would make absolutely sure of the coolant type the E63 takes before you top it off with what you have left over. Not all coolant is the same and if you add in the incorrect type, you can completely gum up your cooling system. For example, HOAT and OAT types are not compatible and can result in a very expensive repair bill if mixed.

if it is just a little bit low and service coming up soon, why bother? This is assuming there is no coolant warning light?
if coolant is really below min, what’s wrong with adding water?
hope this helps...

Thanks, definitely won't make that mistake. Good point for sure!

they won't. I had a low coolant level message after 1st winter right before service A (10k) and they have inspected the system for leaks, did not find anything and just put necessary coolant.

Ask them why you have low coolant light.

Really should nto have one unless leaking somewhere as it is a closed system for most part and
only way to lose it normally is overheat or over pressure and cap vents even then you have somehting possibly wrong.

So ask them why Coolant is low.

Perfect thread timing for me. I just brought my wagon home from the dealer. Now started it up to go out again and the check/low coolant message cam on. Indeed it's a bit under the min and I can see the sensors above the level of the fluid.

It's a shame they didn't fully prep the car right. But I didn't get the message at the dealer & I'm sure hoping I'm not leaking!

Off to buy some Zerex G40.

Like Mandarin said, they will not. I have been really policing the situation and it's right at where the sensor comes on. On cold mornings, when I start the car, it comes on, but it goes off before I put the vehicle in drive after warming up for a couple of minutes. Still, I have to be sure there are no leaks, as that may be a possibility, but probably not.

It's already been brought to my service agents attention when the appointment was made. They will be checking it. A tiny leak is definitely a possibility, but not entirely sure that that's the issue. I had something installed and a little bit of coolant was spilled so that may be the issue, but not sure. The vehicle is running at perfect operation temperature, but definitely have to get to the bottom of it.

That's a bit of a pisser for you! I'm sure it's fine. May have just flew under the radar, but still should have been brought to the middle of minimum and max line and caught on pre-delivery inspection.

Yup, pisser.

A quick stop at my closest Advanced Auto Parts was unhelpful. They didn't have the Zerex G40 and as the guy looked up the E63 said they didn't have a coolant listed and I'd need to get from MB.

I figure it's half water /half antifreeze, but there's so much new on cars these days I need to do some more research before I just toss in some water. I thought my wife's Toyota has some kind of lifetime 100,000 mile coolant.

The owners manual and AMG supplement aren't helping much. I'm looking for the specs to look for on a bottle on the MB BeVo site. I feel like I'm making this more complicated than it needs to be....but...new baby deserves the best.

Yes, it's a 50/50 mix. And I agree, I didn't find the manuals to helpful either. I did my own research. There's about 7 out there you can use off of the shelf besides MB brand.
I don't know where you're located, but if you're near a Napa Auto Parts, they'll have what you're looking for. Best of luck and congrats on new vehicle!
