2018 E63s. I find that I can't get a good grip my steering wheel. Have to either hold it with both hands or wrap my fingers around the middle "triangle" otherwise it might slip away when I turn. Never had this problem before on any of my cars. Anyone feeling the same way? any ideas on how to get a better grip?
Your Alcantera is in desperate need of cleaning. The current matted condition is from oil from your hands (and dead skin) which is making it really slippery.

Your detailer should know how to restore it. There are cleaning products from Sonax or Swissvax specifically for cleaning Alcantara. My detailer recommended using a very soft brush after each drive to gently brush the fibers back into shape.
Using driving gloves will eliminate the problem and keep your Alcantara pristine and additionally give you a better grip. If you are looking for gloves, I got these from Autodromo. They are well made and have a great fit.
