I may be the odd one out here but panamerican grill doesn't look good for the pre facelift cars, just seems to be period incorrect

Grille has arrived, happy with the quality strong and sturdy! front end off to fit so will keep updated when fitted! have also got some mesh (2 different sizes will see what looks best) to stop stones hitting rads

looks pretty good! are you taking it to the dealer to get it fitted? where did you get the mesh grill material?

Not sure may do myself or get one of my pals to do don't think the dealer would do as not a Mercedes part! you can get the mesh on ebay!!

No not fitted yet! have put the mesh in ready for fitment! it a bumper off job so not a 5 minute fix! will post a pic with mesh in !!

Ready for fitting, i have a gloss black star that will go on when fitted! just see a post on here with bumper removed looks a big job and someone tried there selves with do not recommend quote! so will get done at a shop

@nw66 , dying to find out the fitment details on that grill you ordered. Have you had it installed yet?? I see from your post above that you don't have the radar behind your star which mine does... wonder it it would fit well. I'm very close to pulling the trigger myself on one, but wanted to get others' experiences with it. Cheers!

ETA: Just caught up with your latest post that you addded that mesh behind the grille before installing. I like that idea. Are you planning on doing the install yourself?? Pardon my ****ty reading comprehension, you already answered some of these questions lol. don't think I have the balls to do my own install, but I did ask for a quote from the body shop my local Merc dealer refers its customers to, and they would charge me around $200 to install... Taking notes on everything you're doing before I pull the trigger tho :naughty:

$200 sounds a good price for fitment as the whole front has to come off! mine is going in to have catless down pipes fitted i will get them to fit it then! they are away until august so have to wait a couple of weeks! will update when fitted!

How was the install? Did you have a body shop do it? Any info is appreciated, I am curious just to try it as long as it is completely reversible.

Damn, that looks really nice. I bought one of these grills already but then I learned from @nw66 that the radar star may not fit, so I got discouraged. The pic from @raudiace4 above also appears to have a radar star, so now I'm really curious about his experience installing it too.

I had my local trusted body shop install it, A&L in Palatine IL. I go to them for all my body work and aesthetic mod installs. They mentioned it was a easy and direct swap, took the bumper off, old grille out, and new grille in, great fitment and distronic/star transferred over easily.

It's not the same link, but it is an Ebay grille. I bought this months ago and it sat in my basement, so im unable to find that link again.

looks good! Where did you get the badge from? The fitment of my badge isn’t oem like so I took it off. I want a OEM like badge solution.

I got from eBay doesn’t fit perfectly so on looking at the correct badge on the oem pan grill think we need to get direct from Mercedes! I’ll call them Monday and order one! Let you know when I have physicaly got one!
