Hey. Looking for latest and greatest that works and is perfectly interpreted with the modern systems. Any recommends??

Is that R9 a typo? All I’m seeing is R7 and the newest, R8, on their web page.

Honestly i would just get jammers even if its illegal, once you get hit by laser. it will be too late.

On a similar topic, has anyone figured out how to disassemble the rearview mirror housing and tap one of the connectors for power (using a mirror tap)? This would be very helpful!

Pry it open with a tool and find which is power and what to ground.

Sounds pretty easy, why don't you give it a go and video the process?

Seriously though, given that the mirror complex is the same as other E series there's more likely going to be videos for a standard E class than the E63 floating around. I've seen some mirror replacement videos but not one showing the power tap.

I just wired mine to the fuse box by the passenger's right leg and ran the cable up the side panel then along the top of the dash next to the windshield. Can't really see it.

I have an R3 using the suction cup mount in the center of the windshield just above dash. Works fine. I get Ka band alerts well in advance of any police. Never seen a laser alert out in the wild, but did ask one of the officers that set up speed traps near my house to aim at my car and take a reading and the unit went off, so I guess that's working too. Wanted to test it given that I have the heat/sound HUD glass option.
