Wi-Fi options . . .
I've been running wifi in my '19S since day one and originally connected through what I believe is a T-Mobile service but I'm not sure. Just purchased a new GLE for wife and I'm trying to get wifi hooked up for her as well. What are my options? Don't even know how to get a hold of provider of my service . . .

Honest question, what's the point of paying for a wifi hotspot? Modern phones have unlimited data plans, decent reception, 5G and 5G UWB and everyone has one.

Not much of a point to be honest. It can improve reception, because the phone signal inside the cabin is somewhat shielded due to the Faraday cage effect of the car's body, so using the external areal improves reception, or if you have a WiFi dash camera it can be connected even if your phone isn't with you. I'm not sure the WiFi hotspot is active, though when the car is turned off. But I agree with you, it doesn't make sense to pay for a hotspot when one's phone already has a data plan, and smartphones can be used as a WiFi hotspot if you need to get on the Internet with a device that doesn't have its own mobile broadband connection.

Yup. When I got my E63s, I thought the car's wifi settings was for it to connect to my phone's wifi hotspot (included with my cheap $30/mo unlimited 5G cellular data plan) so the car can get data access free subscription period ends for the various MB services. Then after some fidgeting around, I figured out it was to pay T-Mobile for redundant internet connection.
