Wheels for new 2012 CLS63? yay or nay ?
1 Attachment(s)
Forgiato Concavo
I've seen these in person on my buddy Maserati GT, looks very clean and price is reasonable, and most importantly is a 2 piece and not 3 :y (went through hell with 3 pieces on last cls) My New cls63 is black exterior and black interior. thinking of powdering coating the center and lips all semi gloss black. what do ya think? and also will forgiato wheels fix Mercedes center cap? |
its a beautiful wheel...but for some reason doesn't look "good"
on all cars. It personally think this wheel doesn't look good on the CLS. If you want a very good looking tasteful wheel for the CLS. I would go with HRE, 360 forged, D2 Forged or Vossen. |
I may get heat for this but forgiato to me is more of a "ghetto" brand. not something to put on a cls63
|
**throws heat at this statement***...Yes you will catch heat..rightfully so since its :smash: . If the quality of the rims are up to par and you love the look(not to mention I don't know what is "ghetto" about the wheel)..why be worried about the brand name :nix:. You can always flip the cap out if it's that important to you to be accepted by people who don't and will never drive the car you paid for and own lol.

Not really feeling those rims :nix:

thanks for the input.
do you think 20' is max for my car? or should I go 21 or 22"? there's seems to be more space for the new cls63 than the old model. |
If you like more spokes, I think these would look hot on the car.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/advance...57626317106713 They make a tinted brushed color that looks great too |

Go for 22". The wheel weld seem bigger on the new CLS. I'm also shopping for some new wheels myself, very tough, too many choices out there. Look at Nutek concave. Rennen has pretty good deal for 3 piece forged.

I gotta go check, This new CLS feels more like a S-Class to me, and I think 20" might be too small. gotta see if 21' or 22" is better...
|
do 21 s it can take 265/30/21 n 315/25/21............will look n sit nicer........but not that design.....wheel FORGIATOS have some crazy styles......n also Concave

Mike the car rocks in performance and has much improved handling over its past generation- IMHO do not sacrifice too much function for form- 21's are too big and heavy. You can get absolutely amazing wheels in the 20 inch format that not only have looks but also are very performance oriented.

CLS looks it's best when it sits low and tight. 20's are perfect on the car because they give you a nice stance without distracting from the overall looks of the car. My best recommendation is to get the staggered 20's and lower the car with lowering links. |
the HRE C97 in 20" look so good on Vic's car
And the Comp Series wheels are super lightweight featuring titanium assembly bolts |
I think the 10 spoke Concavo will look good on the 2012 CLS.
Good choice. :y |
The wheel well does seem bigger on the new CLS. But I looked it up, and the wheel well has only grown an inch :nix:...which is weird because the pics of 20's I'm seeing on the 2012 def. seem to have larger tires.

I do stand corrected as well. I looked up a CLS with the forgiato concavo 20 inch wheel and it actually looks really good. That wheel compliments the CLS nicely.
|
Awesome.
On the 2012 CLS? Link please. |
No larger then 20's on that thing.
Unless you are compensating for extreme tiny penis syndrome. |
reminds me of an SUV wheel.

I like the Concavo and have had several forgiato sets of wheels and they were all top quality and no issues... i think it would look good - look and maybe test fit a set of 22's?
