2012 CLS 63 Tuned- +80hp/+150tq
Got my baseline dyno last thurs and went and got my tune from Eurorev/Singh autosport on fri. Car feels great..went on few runs up to 165mph and it was pulling like a freight train. I'm very happy with the tune and it drives like stock except when stomp on it. Been modding cars long enough to know it was best to take to independent dyno shop and i'm very happy with result. Coming from PTT, w212 E63, C63 and E60 M5..This is by far the best and fastest car i've own! This shows you how much potential of the M157.

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
Damn nice!
What I like is that there's a significant improvement in the onset of torque build-up. It starts sooner and doesn't plateau at 2,500rpm. Instead, it continues to climb as you get up to 3,000rpm before it begins to plateau. But at this point, you're already in the 600+ lb-ft range.
Other than that, the before and after curves follow a similar path. Your Eurorev/Singh tune just raises the line higher on the graph. A very good thing.
I've learned at least two things from your dyno and tune:
1) During spirited driving, it's probably best to shift at 5,000rpm or shortly after that, and,
2) The M157 motor has lots more potential than Mercedes is leading everyone to believe....and I love that.
Great job and thanks for sharing.

WoW! Those are some really impressive numbers.
I know you will be enjoying that beast!
This has made me really think about getting a new car sooner.
Thanks for the info…
Now go burn some rubber LoL

Although dyno numbers are not absolute; this would show that its better and/or cheaper to get the non PP CLS and then tune it up?

I'm pretty sure this was fully custom/dyno tuned as there isn't much out there, at the moment, for the M157 motor.
Crazy thing is, these are the numbers at the wheels.

This is the tune Singh Autosport develop for this engine and is readily available. They flashed my ECU on fri and i drove it for few days and got dyno this tuesday. Loving the car as is comfortable and is damn fast! Hopefully i can do some runs with my friend's E60 Modded M5 to compare.

Wow, the numbers are insaneeee.
Is there any MB ECU tuner that offer DIY ECU tune like those porsche tuners do?
It's gonna be a bit hassle for me to deal with the shipping since I live too far away from the US and Indonesian customs really sucks.
sorry for slightly OT

Ambient weather conditions, dyno equipment, blah, blah, blah, will all make a difference in the outcome, but I'd like to see an approximation of how the two stock motors compare and how much MBZ "held-back" in listing their performance figures.

Perfomance Package - 2000-4000 rpm
Quote
Standard output for the CLS63 AMG is 518 bhp at 5500 rpm coming with 516 lb.-ft. of torque stretching all the way from 2000 to 4500 rpm. An optional Performance Package raises the twin turbo boost from 14.5 psi to as much as 18.8, this kicking output to 550 bhp and 590 lb.-ft. of torque. End quote.
I found this info in one of the articles. Looking at the "tuned curve" above I wonder if the Performance Package is supposed to "raise the twin turbo boost from 14.5 psi to as much as 18.8"...."From 2000 to 4500 rpm" because this is what occurred with the aftermarket tune.
Any thoughts?

guys
MB are lying about CLS63TT with performance package to be 557hp on the crank.
believe it or not.
it is faster than my modded E55 506RWHP on dyno mustang = > 600hp on the crank.
this car is no joke.
i swear it is fast while it is stock.
i wonder what it will do with a tune.
this is the replacement for 55k engines.
