Got a minor rattle beneath the carbon fiber dashboard insert on the driver's left hand side. Sounds like a screw popped loose. How easy is it to remove those inserts? If its easy enough, would save me a trip to the dealer.

i have a rattle between the speedo meter and the small plastic that is below the up dash leather.

when i saw it in close, it looked like they are using some type of glue. so i just stuffed it with some black 1.2mm paper than can not been seen and it solved it.

i already complained to the dealer.


strangely when the sun hits the dashboard and it is hot. it does'nt rattle and it is 100% grabbed. but i think it shrinks a bit @ night and becomes kinda loose and keeps rattling.

Hilarious on a $100k car. Probably something minor and rare. Easy fix.

It amazing to me what all these cars cost whether its a Benz or BMW or Cadilliac and the general quality control and some of the workmanship . Its no wonder these companies are making money hand over fist .. "ridiculous " , they all fine ways to be cheap and to pad their profit margins even more and quality control and workmanship should be without reproach especially at this price level and "NEW"

Mercedes quality has been drastically improving post-Chrysler merger days.

BMW is going down (hence bigger margins for them). I had two BMW's in the last 3 years ('08 550i and '11 M3) and they feel cheap as **** inside. Kinda pathetic actually. Still functional and acceptable, etc. But not for those prices.

Audi is nice.

But they all could do better.

'12 CLS has a ridiculously beautiful interior
