Spacers on Stock 19" Forged Wheels 2012 CLS63 Thoughts?
Any one do this or thinking about it? I was looking at my car's wheels up close and and was thinking "damn these things are tucked". Nothing a set of 10mm hubcentrics wouldnt cure until I get my new wheels.
I do like these stock wheels more than most other stock wheels Ive ever had even though they appear small in the 19 inch format.

It would look alot beefier with spacers, especially from the rear but personally I'd leave the stockers alone until the new wheels come in.
Did you get the HRE P43S?

I dont like the anomalies I get when i lower my cars with them. I originally had them on set of HRE's on my E92 M3 and when I wore out the rears I just replaced them and the car became immediately squirly and floaty. But they were not like this on the prev set which I had on the car just a few days prior.
But me being me, I dumped the M3, got a W212 E63 and slammed it on another set of HRE's and I needed a rounder sidewall to ensure no rubbing and I took the tire store's advice and got them. They seemed all good until again, I wore out the rears only and replaced them only to have the same float feeling. Its more than likely the contact patch changing but they seem too inconsistent for me when I replace just the rears. I think its their tread design.
They are good tires when all 4 are on with the same tread depth IMO though. I think since I need the rounder walls yet again I might run Toyos...

Interesting observation..I am not a bridgestone fan but the re-11's are supposed to be impressive. What about the pirelli corsa system?

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
I've had the Bridgestone's RE050 in 305/25 20 on the rears of my previous CLS63.
I thought they were pretty good and didn't have any issues with rubbing.
Of course, wheel offset has a lot to do with that too. The rim's lip edge was flush with the fender and there was no room to fit a finger in the wheel well.

Id take the SS's all day everyday but I dont think they make the sizes we need:
255x30x20
305x25x20
and from some wisemen at HRE: they said the SS's are a very "tall" tire which has some owners rubbing... sucks cause they are the best tire.

Whatever happened to the spacers? Did you ending up putting them on before the HRE's?
Thinking of getting some for the stock 19" wheels.
Would 20MM front and 25mm rear fit right?
I was looking at H&R Trak+ Wheel Spacers

I'm running 5mm front 10mm rear and could easily go another 10mm on both, this is on the KW suspension.

The 2012 CLS doesnt have the low offset numbers that the 219 had.
The stock 19's on the 2012s are 19x9 et 37 and 19x10 et 47
(Im lowered but) The lowest Id run on a 9 upfront is a et25- I heard et21 rubs.
With an 11- the lowest is about et 35 so you will be fine with a 15mm on a stock wheel briniging to et 32 and since its another half inch narrower on the outer (fender side) you could possibly run another 10mm or a 25mm spacer. But dont quote me, test it
