V8TT tires
These stock Continental 5Ps are a crime against humanity. The reviews I've seen say they're great, but they must be smoking something. My car is tuned so it makes it even worse. I've never been able to get a 60' under 2 on these things. I've had luck with Bridgestone Potenza RE050As in the past, but that was years ago. What street tires are out there now that are good and can better handle the power? I don't care if the rears only last 6k miles, I'm used to that.

Dude...I feel your pain and brought this up many, many times especially since the Renntech tune.
So expect to get about a bunch of replies telling you to get Michelin super sports....

I've heard good things about Super Sports. They're popular, but sometimes popular doesn't always mean the best for the job. There was the PS2 craze, but the RE050As worked better and were sticker. Didn't last very long though which didn't bother me as it let me enjoy the car more. Several years have passed and new better models have come out I'm sure so trying to get a feel for a good sticky street tire.

it's all about tires, it's the first and only thing that has contact with the ground. with that much torque it's simply dangerous to keep going on those contis. give the michelin pilot super sports a shot and let us know what you think.

I'm running the Bridgestone S-04 PP on my bone stock CL65 and am bery happy. I was able to pull a 1.84 60' on a marginal track the first time out, should go low 1.8's on a good track. Also have a nice ride as well.

They make them in the right front fitment but you would need to go 295 on the rear. Someone said they did that on the stock rims on one of these threads and it worked fine but I wonder if the sidewall would extend noticebally from the rim.

The V12's definitely fit my needs which are daily driving at higher speeds, some short high speed turns and big bends at triple digits. But I dont think they would fare all that great at the drags.

Coming from road race Toyo 888's, I was really picky but the Nt-05 has really impressed me. Don't take the car out in the rain so no idea how they would fair in the wet.
Thumbs up from here on a high horsepower E55.
