so was it with RS? is it the same as the first renntech tune or added mods? Thanks for sharing

RS was not used.
Sport + mode.
Tune only (same tune/different car). Its a non PP CLS63 without LSD.
Tricky getting both wheels to spin without LSD.

Yep. You're right on.
If you look at the splits, its clear what is going on.
At the 60 foot mark, the GTR has a .073 of a second advantage (1.678 vs 1.751);
By the 330 foot mark, the GTR stretches its time advantage to .183 of a second (4.635 vs 4.818).
By the 1/8th (660 feet), the GTR is losing ground as it is only .171 quicker, and the CLS is .55 mph faster (7.126 vs. 7.297) (98.43 vs 99.08 mph).
At 1000 feet, the time margin is down to .138 (9.287 vs 9.425).
By the end of the quarter mile (1320 feet), the CLS has closed the time gap to .099 and is travelling 2.22 mph faster (11.114 vs 11.213) (124.08 vs 126.30 mph).
Somebody check my math, my head hurts
.In essence the lighter AWD GTR has the advantage for the first half of the track, and starts losing ground during the last 1/8 mile.
From a roll, the 2012 GTR would have its hands full with a tuned CLS.

on paper the power levels of the GTR and PP cls63 tip towards the cls.
Just shows how much of a beast the 2012 GTR is stock ....this is not counting the additional power bump they are getting in 2013 i.e this JAN
Lets not even bother comparing tuned vs tuned
Thing is I keep hearing about the gear box going boom

Interesting. I'm assuming you're referring to the GTR.
I just spoke with a GTR owner last night who described how Nissan is being very strict about their warranty on the transmission.
It seems Nissan is not happy with the aftermarket community and overuse of the launch control.
