CLS63 or GranTurismo S?
Hi,
I am about to sign a lease for either the CLS63 or the GranTurismo S before the end of year. The MSRP on the Mercedes is 105K and the sticker for the Maserati is 133K but lease numbers for both are pretty similar. With that in mind, which car should I go for? The CLS seems to be more practical while the Gran Turismo is more exotic. I have a hard time deciding......

I went from an 09 GranTurismo (non S) to the CLS and the only thing I miss on the Maser are the exterior looks and the exhaust note (and I had Tubi exhaust, Formula dynamics DBW module and springs on the MGT). Power, handling, interior design and function, are all vastly superior on the AMG. The 4.7 GT is a little faster, but still won't hold a candle to the CLS63. Granted there aren't many better looking cars (if any) on the road than the Maser, but the attention can get old after awhile.

I was trying to decide the same thing what I heard was that the maserati isn't as fast as the amg & it has a. ferrari motor but not the ferrari speed also has all of the ferrari problems not really sure if any of these things are true I've never owned 1 or driven one .I love my 2012 cls 63 and I think it's a better deal , it's more power and also more upgradeable power available, I also believe the car is more durable, like I said before all my feelings on it I have no evidence to back it up being I never owned a maserati before.

CLS55 plus a few Ducati's
Crappy pics is right!
While I love both vehicles and would be hard pressed to pick between them I think the main attribute that the Maserati has over the CLS is looks. Regardless of how you approach it the CLS is "distinctive" and "interesting" to say the least. It certainly is NOT a beautiful car. The Maserati has smooth flowing sensual lines that leave the CLS looking bulky and cumbersome.
All other criteria would lead me to the CLS, but if I was driving down the freeway and a Gran Turismo went past, I know I would still turn my head to look at it. The CLS, not so much.

I had a Maserati GT and I just order a new CLS AMG 63 with all the Packages except ceramic brakes and I can tell you that the CLS AMG is a much better quality car than the Maserati not to mentioned its much faster with 550 HP so congrats and you made the right choice.

I currently have a 2007 QP and as soon as the warranty runs out, I will get the CLS63 or Panamera Turbo. The Maserati has gone through 3 clutches and a F1 pump already, but otherwise has been reliable to this point. TC
